News Post -Part 4-

Now that all of the Rejet news is out of the way (release dates for Kekkonroku and More,Blood have been added in the previous post btw) it is time to tackle the rest. I'm afraid it is going to become a bit random from here.

Like before, I have a lot to catch up on, so if I miss some details feel free to put them in a comment and I'll add them!



Meisaku Bungaku (warai)
After a long period of silence two new CDs have been announced for this lovable literature parody series.

The first one is おくのほそ道　～そうだ、伊勢に行こう～ (oku no hosomichi ~sou da, ise ni ikou~, The Narrow Road to the Interior ~Yes, Let's go to Ise~) which will be based on Oku no Hosomichi, a famous work by Basho. The release date for this one is 2013.04.24.

The second CD is ドン・キホーテ　～中二病でも旅がしたい！～ (don quixote ~chiinibyou demo tabi ga shitai~, Don Quixote ~I want to travel even if I do have chuunibyou~) which will obviously be based on the story of Don Quixote. "chuunibyou" is a phrase that denotes something like puberty. It literally means "middle school grade 2 illness" so picture the kind of silly things teenagers say and do, as well as their complexes when they are about 14 and you are on the right track. I am guessing that the title is also a shout out to the anime "chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai". This CD is planned for a 2013.06.26 release.

The cast for both CDs is yet to be announced



Sasayaki Micchaku
This series is trying its best to please me or something, first Hosoya, and now vol.6 will be voiced by Sakurai Takahiro!

The title for the 6th CD is 名探偵・蜜之城月彦の密室ミステリー (meitantei mitsunojou tsukihiko no misshitsu mistery, "the locked room mystery of the great detective Mitsunojou Tsukihiko") and like I mentioned above Tsukihiko will be voiced by Sakurai Takahiro.

Tsukihiko is a writer as well as detective. He occasionally comes across a case while he stays at his hotel for long periods (IE. practically lives there). This time you are a witness in a case, so he starts to interrogate you....♥

As always, part of the CD will be recorded with the dummy head mic. The CD is planned for a 2013.04.24 release.

News Post -Part 1-

Writing reviews and the news post on the go is a lot harder than I imagined. Even though I have my actual laptop and my iPad with me, finding the time to edit my random thoughts and ramblings into a properly formatted review is pretty hard.




Aroma na Kareshi
Now that vol.4 is out the next one has been announced through a digital flyer. The next character is the 17year old Kazu Watanuki (CV: Shimono Hiro) and his scent is vanilla. His family owns a cake shop and he loves making sweets, his dream is to become a patissier. He has a bright personality and is popular amongst both girls and guys.


Anata ga Ofuro de Noboseru
No new CD news, but an event. On 2013.03.02-03 there will be an event in the Orange Gallery in Ikebukuro displaying art from the series, including yet unpublished rough sketches and art made especially for this exhibit. The event is completely free, so if anyone happens to be in Tokyo during this time go and take a look (^-^) they will be selling the CDs and goods at the even as well. Here is the blog post announcing the event if you want to check any details later.


Sasayaki Micchaku

The official page for vol.5 is now online. Hosoya Yoshimasa his character is indeed called Chikasugi Taisuke (I almost guessed it right! I feel all accomplished now). The top of the page also reveals that the first press limited edition will have a free talk recorded with the dummy head mic as a bonus. The CD will be released on 2013.03.27.





Bungou Series

Looking at the titles for the third and fourth CDs it seems like they will be some sort of spin-off series to the main series. The third CD is titled 新作第1弾「不良文豪とホスト」 (shinsaku dai ikkan "furyou bungou to hosuto", New Work Vol.1 "The delinquent literary master and the Host") while the fourth CD is titled 新作第2弾「文豪の神様」 (shinsaku dai nikan "bungou to kamisama", New Work Vol.2 "The God of the literary master[s]"). 'Shinsaku' means something like 'new work' or 'latest work'.

The cover for the third CD has been released (the image to the right) as well as the information that Ono Daisuke will be joining the cast in the forth CD, playing the role of the writer Shiga Naoya. The CDs are planned for  2013.03.29 and 2013.05.?? releases.


Toubousha / 42gami
In celebration of the upcoming new releases of the Toubousha and 42gami series there will be a nico nico live broadcast with Morita Masakazu and Kimura Ryouta in which the two seiyuu will announce more info about both new CDs, as well as answer various questions from the listeners The broadcast is called "Toubousha 42 minutes" and will be available for one week starting 2013.01.24 (today)

The titles for the two upcoming CDs are already known: Toubousha Vol.3 Haruto, and 42gami Vol.3 Xylophone ~The End - The Last Love~ and will be voiced by Ishida Akira. If you go to TwoFive their official site you can already see rough sketches of the two characters. Both CDs are planned for a 2013.03.27 release.


Kindan Vanmpire

The official site has updated with the details on the 6th CD. The cover image as well as the tracklist are now online. The character this time is Alexander von Weiseheldenburg (CV: Tsuda Kenjirou). This time the theme language for the tracklist seems to be latin. (Considering that his name is Alexander, shouldn't thay have picked Greek instead?) The CD will be released on 2013.02.13, just before valentine (^-^)



Meganubu
The official site has been closed. The staff thanks everyone for their support over the last year, and say that 'hope to meet again somewhere'. I guess this means no more Meganebu, but it does look like they are moving on to a new project.

Oujisama (warai) series
The top image on the official site changed to a very pretty picture of Aladdin. Meanwhile the latest news update confirms the release of the second radio CD, as well as a second live recording for the radio show in April. They also mention that there "might or might not be another development". For now I'll go with the first ;)


Toubousha & 42gami
A third CD for both series has been announced, and details will be announced soon.

In less fortunate news: TwoFive made a short post on their website asking not to duplicate and/or upload any of their works. All of their CDs are now available on iTunes, so please consider buying them there if importing the CDs is too expensive instead of downloading them illegally. Properly buying it also means more profit for them = a higher chance that they will continue making more awesome CDs. I made a translation of the post over here.


Ai no Kemono yo
The Gree game 愛の獣よ、神の掟に背いて禁断の果実を貪れ (Ai no kemono yo, kami no okite ni somuite kindan no kajitsu wo musabore, "Beast of Love, Disobey the laws of God and indulge in the forbidden fruit yes that sounds ridiculous when you translate it) is getting a drama CD adaption. In the game you infiltrate a large company with the aim of becoming the main secretary within 6 months. The official description says that "the story and everyone in it are full of mysteries". It is also definitely aiming to be a more mature game, as proven by the sample CGs.

You get into the company with the help of mysteryman 'George' (CV: Miura Hiroaki), once you are inside the three main targets love interests are the three brothers who run the business: Kamikujou Haruki (CV: Hirakawa Daisuke), the young company president who seems to be hiding something under his ever smiling mask, Hideaki (CV: Midorikawa Hikaru), who is calm and calculated to the point of being feared for it, and Akiyoshi (CV: Tsuda Kenjirou), the hot blooded brother who acts on his instincts and has helped the company grow, but also causes some trouble now and then.The CD is planned for a 2013.02.27 release.

Oujisama (warai) series
The first two preview tracks for the second Oujisama (warai) Date CD are up at the Animate TV site. The first track has Aladdin (CV: Miyano Mamoru) being extremely sweet, and the Emperor (CV: Okiayu Ryoutarou) and Genji (CV: Yoshino Hiroyuki) commenting on what he is doing. The second track has the Emperor writing a poem for you, and of course the other two feel the need to comment on this.

On 21st two more preview tracks will be uploaded: a preview of your date with Genji, and a preview of the Zadankai track.


Miracle Train

Lately the official site has been releasing info on new characters. 麻布十番 双葉  (Azajuuban Futaba) will be voiced by Shimono Hiro, 赤羽橋 弐人 (Akabaneshi Nihito) will be voiced by Hosoya Tadamasa. .I can't find any info on new CDs or other products being released soon, but this secretly makes me hope that there will be more escort CDs (even though I still haven't listened to any of them).

Meganebu!
The character page for the new character in Meganebu! Vol.3 is finally up. Suzuki Toru (CV: Inoue Gou) is a member of the science club and holds a grudge against Souma. His nickname is "number 3" because of the three people named Suzuki in the school, he was the one that placed lowest in the sports test. This is why Souma calls him "number 3" and also why Toru still holds a grudge against him after a year.


Hatoful Kareshi
The official blog confirms that they have sarted production on a new Hatoful Kareshi drama CD. The theme this time will be 'mamentine' (the in-game equivalent of valentine. On mamentine you give the pigeon you like beans instead of chocolate). No release date has been given yet, but the post states that more info will be released in the course of this month.

Oujisama (warai) series
A scene from the beginning of the first date CD can be read on the official site. Besides the fact that it is going to be non-serious and hilarious as always we don't get much wiser though. Snow White, Rapunzel, and Cinderella meet up and talk a bit about the other characters before Snow White want to move ahead with the scenario, only to discover that the other two didn't read it.

Once again they are being blatantly obvious about it that the characters know this is a CD series. Also, I am taking Snow White his statement "that he will meet him [the prince from Swan Lake] soon enough" as a confirmation that there will be more CDs.

Of course there are tokuten CDs as well. Buy all three Date CDs and you can apply for a bonus CD called "Ojisama darake no uchiage paatii - hanseikai hen" ("a celebration party full of princes - review meeting chapter"). Buy all three at Animate and you can get the animate bonus as well: another bonus CD called "Ojisama darake no uchiage paatii - botsu deeto hen" ("a celebration party full of princes - rejected dates chapter").


Penguin Enishi
It has been a while since there was any news for this series. Vol.3 has been announced and is titled "天狗草子" (Tenguu zoushi). A young man who calls himself a tengu shows up at the police station where Ten works, claiming that an important scroll has been stolen. Eventually Enishi becomes the main suspect for this. I am guessing that both the title and the missing scroll refer to the Tengu-zoushi emaki, a scroll that pictures various priets as Tengu.

Weekly News Post

Sort of weekly at the moment anyway. I should be doing all sorts of other stuff right now, but instead I am writing a news post... lalala.

Also, in preparation for my Japan trip I've re-opened my personal blog (although everything from before is gone). I have no idea how regular the updates will be though. Also, I might post most of the fangirling here or on tumblr. Because my parents don't really need to know all my fangirl moments xD



Kindan Kyuuketsuki

the official site finally updated with more info on the next release: Kindan Kyuuketsuki ~Aobara no Kishi~ ("knight of the blue rose"). Several shops and magazines already listed the CD, but the official site was eerily silent. We now have some visuals with the knowledge that Yasumoto Hiroki will be voicing Rudolf von Weiseheldenburg, the next vampire. You apparently meet him on the battlefield... from where he kidnaps you. But other than that there is little info. Of course we all know what to expect by now. The CD is planned for a 2012.08.15 release.

Meanwhile, Animate already lists another entry to the series: Kindan Kyuuketsuki ~Kibara no Toganin~ ("criminal of the yellow rose") for a 2012.10.17 release. This time it will be Tachibana Shinnosuke who voices a vampire who's name I am guessing to be Friedrich.

Weekly News Post

This weeks news post is a bit long, because it merged with the one from last week. I just couldn't find the time to properly write a news post last week, and by the time I was three days late I decided it would probably be better to merge the two (^-^;;)

Double Score

The sample tracks for camellia have been uploaded to the official site. Especially the first one between Yousuke (CV: Toriumi Kousuke) and Yuuya (CV: Hirakawa Daisuke) is priceless. The second sample track where you are alone with Yousuke is just very cute. Yousuke his wallpaper is also available for download, it will be up until 2012.07.12, when the next CD will be released.


Zoku Toriai Kyoudai

The main visual for Zoku Toriai Kyoudai has been released, and if I wouldn't have been sold on the fact that this CD has Hirakawa Daisuke voicing two roles, the visuals would have done the job. Well played Black Butterfly, not only are you using one of my favourite seiyuu, you also managed to make the characters 100% my type.


Soine Hitsuji CD

The release date and cast for the second Soine Hitsuji CD has been announced. The second character Yuuichi will be voiced by Fujiwara Keiji, and is planned for a 2012.08.31release. Like many people said, I didn't expect to see Fujiwara-san listed as cast after seeing the character design, but we'll see how things turn out!
