There have been no updates for two whole years now so I don't expect anyone to check for new posts, but I wanted to make an official post that there will be no more updates on this blog.

The truth is, I have slowly moved on from this hobby. It has been months since I last listened to anything, and I don't think I will get back into it either. People change, hobbies change, and that is OK. I had a great time writing reviews and learned a lot from it, and it was amazing to connect with people who shared the same interests.

For now the blog will remain online, but it will no longer be updated. Thank you all for a great couple years!!

カレと一緒におふとんでイチャイチャごろごろするCD - Evening

Label: Black Butterfly
Based on: Original
Released: 2013.11.15
Official site

In this series you spend some quality time with your boyfriend. Basically all you do is cuddle, which makes this CD super cute. This is the third CD in the series, voiced by Hirakawa Daisuke.

Your boyfriend this time is Kousei, who is a writer. At the start of the CD you enter the room where he is working, to remind him of the fact that it is already late and that he should probably stop working. Kousei finishes what he was writing for a bit (a overly sweet passage that is obviously based on you), and realizing that you were lonely while he was working so hard, you decide cuddle on a sofa on the veranda together.

The rest of the CD is a lot of cuddling, Kousei telling you how much he loves you, some kissing (which sounds surprisingly eroi, seems like the poor guy is having a hard time suppressing certain urges), and more Kousei telling you how precious you are to him.

You do discover a little about your relationship through all of this. Apparently you met while he was in a slump, and it is thanks to you that he recovered. It took a while before you started dating though. In the final track you have fallen asleep, and Kousei once again declares his love for you (as well as planning to do more than kissing once you wake up, fufu)

While the CD is mainly cute, there were some sentences that caught me completely off guard. Along with a lot of his kisses...

Conclusion:
Plot zero, cuteness 90%, embarrassment 10%. No really, the amount of overly sweet words and kisses are <strike>almost</strike> overkill. But if you are fine with that then this is a really cute CD that makes you want to cuddle the nearest available thing. Because of the overkill you should probably only listen if you either like the seiyuu or are looking for something caries-inducing sweet, because lets be honest, it really is nothing more than cuddling.
through the ticket gates into the shopping area of the station, and finally
properly introduces himself. He is an inspector currently working to catch the
remaining members of a terrorist organisation that was disbanded not too long
ago. Because this is the best chance they've had in ages he asks (almost
threatens) you to cooperate in order to lure them out. He is nice enough to you
while you walk around the station though.

no choice but to follow them.

instructions to run away when you reach a flight of narrow emergency stairs,
and you manage to get away, but due to the fires the fire prevention shutters
are down and you can’t get out. You are once again cornered, and Ryou gets shot twice while trying to cover for you. While he urges you to stay behind him the
backup arrives and the scene fades out. From here you can go to either to good
or bad end.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">In the bad end
the terrorists get away, causing Ryou to confine you at his home. He is
convinced that they will come after you, and seems obsessed with catching them
so he intends to keep you close. At first I thought it was another yandere
ending, which made me slightly excited, but it soon turns out that Ryou just
went completely crazy, and is scary a hell.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">In the good
ending the terrorists are captured, and you visit Ryou in the hospital. While
he seemed full of confidence on the job he is being adorably awkward now, not
knowing what to talk about and mumbling a lot. In the epilogue you have just
moved into his apartment after you’ve been dating for a while, and he is still
being adorably awkward.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I know Hirakawa-san
is good at playing characters that are insane, but even so the bad ending
scared the hell out of me. As soon as I realized that he was not yandere but
completely broken his bad ending became a nightmare. It was so bad that when
Ryou mentions how warm you are in the good ending it made me shiver because he
said something similar in the bad one. If you are going to listen to the bad
ending, listen to that one first, that way you’ll at least have the super sweet
good ending to heal the scars it will cause.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Part of Ryou
his obsession with the terrorist organisation is due to the fact that his
former room mate was a member, causing his colleagues to treat him like dirt.
This is only hinted at in the bad ending and properly explained in the good
ending. But you only discover this in the endings, and I think they could have used it a
bit more to create some more suspicion during the story. The entire time you
are with Ryou you have no real proof that he really is a police officer, and I personally think
they could have made more use of that as well.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Despite these things,
this CD was all I could have asked for as the <strike>(for now) last entry in this
series;</strike> a seiyuu that I love, a bad ending that I will remember for years to
come, and a good one that was super sweet. And after two stories that had less
to do with running away this one was much more satisfying. I loved that they
made you the one being chased this time, it made for a nice change. My love for
Hirakawa-san obviously makes me biased, but I think that this is still a good
CD if you are a fan of the series but not of the seiyuu.

Like I mentioned in the actual reviews, each Aisaresugite CD has two
versions – a sweet one and a twisted one. You can compare them to the good and
bad end routes in an otome game. The stories are partly the same, and split
somewhere after you make a choice. With this being a CD, the choice is
obviously being made for you ;)

For this CD the story splits depending on whether you choose to remain
living with your boss-turned-boyfriend or insist on living separately.

But even before that they are not entirely the same. The Gekiama version
starts with you catching a cold after a long day of work, and skips right to
the time you went drinking together to celebrate your recovery. The Kichiku
version one the other hand only references you catching a cold last week, and
includes the actual invite to go drinking. His confession is slightly different
as well; in the Kichiku version his voice almost breaks when saying that he
loves you, while it is more subdued in the Gekiama version.

What I find interesting is that he promised to not do anything to you when
you start living at his place – and he seems to have kept that promise in both
versions. It is only after you’ve accepted his feelings, after he sees you as
his own, that things start to get out of hand in the Kichiku version. And it is
not like his possessive trait is entirely absent in the Gekiama version either.
In the track where you have a fever he mentions that “he wouldn’t let you go
even if you wanted to”.

Besides this there are other
sentences that are used in both CDs “Omae ha ore dake wo mireba ii” (“you
should/ only have to look at me”) and “Ore nashi de irarenai you ni” (“so that
you can’t do without me”) for example. The difference is the context in which
they are said; in the Gekiama version they add to the cuteness of the CD, and
only make you love him more. In the Kichiku version they are said in a way that
make you want to run away as fast as you can, and serve to illustrate how
possessive (and insane) he is.

Another parallel can be found in the 3rd track. In both versions
he mentions that he never really trusted people, and never had any deeper
bonds/relationship with anyone, but that he trusts you. In the Gekiama CD this
is a sign of how much he trusts and loves you, in the Kichiku one it is
followed by threatening to hurt you should you ever betray him. BUT in the Gekiama
version he also says that he was covertly trying to keep other guys away from
you. Which, once again, sounds sweet in the context of that particular CD, but
when combined with the Kichiku one it gains a few implications.

The kouhai scene is obviously scene with the most similarities. It even
starts the same in both CDs, although it gives a totally different vibe thanks
to a different tone of voice. The part where you can hear him both through the
phone and right next to you sound cute and happy in the Gekiama version, while
you can already sense the tension in the Kichiku one.

Technically they follow exactly the same pattern. Your kouhai helping you
with work results in your boss/boyfriend being jealous, which results in sex at the
office. And once again the Gekiama version turns this into a sweet scenario
(making out in the office to express/prove his love in a more physical way)
while the Kichiku version twists it (sex as punishment for “betrayal”). Both
are pretty graphic btw.

There are two other things that caught my attention. While it may just have
been pushed to the background in the Kichiku version, it was pretty interesting
to see that you were slightly jealous in the Gekiama version as well. You call
him out twice - the first time when you confront him about the rumours at the
office, the second time when you want to know who else he took to his favourite
hotel (no one btw, he used to go there on his own).

The second thing I noticed is the difference in the amount of H scenes. In
the Gekiama version only the kouhai/sex at the office scene contains actual
love making, along with the (un)appropriate squelchy sounds. The Kichiku
version on the other hand you are treated to your first sex(ual abuse) scene in
the fourth track, along with two extra scenes afterwards – both of them pretty
abusive. Interestingly enough the Gekiama version is actually equally explicit,
but lot more sensual.

Listening to both CDs shortly after each other, I can’t help but feel that
they are tied together pretty good. Certain elements appear in both CDs, and
there are traces of possessiveness even in the Gekiama CD, although you are
less likely to notice them if you don’t listen to the other one first.

Precisely because of that reason I’d recommend listening to the Gekiama one
first, otherwise certain sentences might trigger a rather traumatic déjà vu (at
least for me that was what happened).

I hope you enjoyed my ramblings about these two CDs.

There is no time like the present to do things, so here we go!

While I initially planned to have more reviews written and ready to post for my re-opening, that didn't work out (surprise surprise). Currently there are about 7 reviews in the release que, waiting to be published automatically. I wanted to have a few more, just to be on the safe side in case I didn't manage to write anything for a week. But I didn't want to stall any longer, so I will just have to work a bit harder with writing reviews!

But be warned! To get back into writing I started with listening to CDs that really interested me. Which resulted in a Hirarin marathon xD

So be prepared for A LOT of Hirakawa Daisuke related reviews, mwahahahaha!!!

The concept this time is that the main guy in each CD wants to get closer to you, but is not sure how to do this. Of course the dummy head mic is also back, it wouldn't be a 'micchaku' (close contact) CD without it.

Four CDs have been planned for now;
- vol.1 とある国の王様の場合
(to aru kuni no ousama no baai, the case of a certain country’s king)
- vol.2 とある名家の執事の場合
(to aru meika no shitsuji no baai, the case of a certain distinguished family their butler)
- vol.3 とあるカメラマンの場合
(to are kameraman no baai, the case of a certain camera man)
- vol.4 とあるピアニストの場合
(to aru pianisuto no baai, the case of a certain pianist)

No release date or seiyuu have been announced yet, but the website mentions ”spring 2014” for the releases. If you buy all of the CDs you can get a special disk with cast comments by all of the seiyuu.
Aroma na Kareshi
This series always remains silent, and then it suddenly ninja-announces the next CD, haha.

The theme scent for the 7th CD in the series is 'rosewood', and your boyfriend this time is Yahara Sou (CV: Sakurai Takahiro). Sou is the owner of the flowershop and arrangement atelier where you work, and is so popular that it is near impossible to get a reservation for one of his classes. You are secretly dating, but keeping this a secret from all of the customers.

The CD is planned for a 2014.04.25 release.

YESxNO
This is going to be a new series by bisCROWN. There is a preview site online but beware, it is sort of blinding.

The concept is that the CD branches off into different routes, and you get to choose how to continue. I'm not entirely sure whether there are just two endings, or possibly multiple routes. Yoshino Hiroyuki will be the one to voice your boyfriend in this CD, which is planned for a 2014.03.28 release.

Futari no Himitsu
Look like Cineria/Bullet is putting their full power behind this for the moment. Vol.3 has been announced on their blog.

This time your boyfriend is Kitamura Genji (CV: Fukushima Jun), who had to move because of a job transfer so at the moment you are in a long distance relationship. However lately all you do is fight over the phone. One day when you call him to tell him your pent up feelings he replies that he is on his way to see you right now...

Remember that this series is R-18. The CD is planned for a 2014.03.28 release.

Tousei Kimono danshi koitsuzuri

Milky Chain is starting a new series, which focusses on kimono wearing characters. Just like their other works, this series is R-18.

Vol.1 futures Takaya Kirito (CV: Yotsuya Cider = Okitsu Kazuyuki). You are admiring the flowers at a friend's wedding when he starts a conversation with you. It turns out he was the one in change of flowers for the location, and you caught his eye because you were admiring them. His actual speciality however is sadou (tea ceremony), and he offers you his business card and invited you to visit his classroom someday. When you visit a few days later, Kirito makes a certain proposal...

The CD will be recorded with the dummy head mic, and is planned for a 2014.03.12 release.

Soine Hitsuji CD
Black Butterfly is making two more Soine Hitsuji CDs.

vol.1 月彦 (CV; Tsuda Kenjirou) and vol.2 武留 (CV; Toriumi Kousuke) will both be released on 2014.03.28, and the cover art will be done by Kazuki Yone like before.

I am horrible with guessing names, but my bet is on Tsukihiko (月彦) and Takeru (武留)

Double Score [1]
The upcoming ''Sou da, Onsen, Ikou!'' drama CD is indeed about Kamizono, Suou, Sakita, Sano, and Emori going on an onsen trip.

Mai-chan (the heroine of the games) wins an onsen trip, but decides to give it to these 5 instead, as they never got to go on a graduation trip even though they planned to. And so they end up going on an onsen trip together, but because of their differing personalities is turns into a chain of stormy events.

Oujisama (warai) series [1]
It looks like the Oujisama (warai) series will officially end this year.

To end the series, a ''last chapter'' which will be released as 3 CDs has been announced. It sounds like all of the princes will have to go to the battlefield to protect what is dearest to them.

Vol. 1will go on sale on 2014.04.23, Vol. 2 on 2014.06.25, and Vol. 3 on 2014.08.27. Besides the main drama there will be a zadankai as always, and cast comments as well.

However, while this announcement may mean the end of the drama CD series, the makers also just announced a PC game on their twitter! Hmmmmm. Not so much the end after all?

Akogare no Otonari-san [1]
More entries to the series have been announced.

Vol. 5 will feature an architect (cv: Miki Shinichirou). Unlike in the previous entries in the series, it sounds like you are already dating at the start of the CD this time. However he has been acting somewhat strange lately, and after making a certain discovery you dash out of the mansion....

Akogare no Shokugyou
Vol. 6 in the series has been announced. This time you are a policewoman, and you have to solve a difficult case together with the elite officer Nikaido and your kouhai Aoyama. You manage to solve the case, but afterwards both of them confess to you!

Masuda Toshiki and Hayami Shou are listed as cast, so I’m guessing Masuda Toshiki will be voicing Aoyama and Hayami Shou Nikaidou.

The CD will be released through Gakken their online shop on 2014.02.26, so other stores will probably have it a month later :)

S-Shi Series
S氏シリーズ (''Mister S Series'') is a new series by d'Avrilmoon . The concept of the series is that all of the characters are Sadists who put you in rather ''dangerous'' situations. The exact phrase they use is actually where ''they lead [your way] with dangerous words''. With this and the fact that they call it an ''adult series'' it is pretty much certain that this is an R-18 series. 6 CDs are planned for now

How extreme it will be we will discover with their first release, which will be.....*points to next entry*

Iinari
The title is written as 誘惑 (yuuwaku, temptation) but pronounced いいなり (iinari, doing as you are told). The official site is here.

You always had a weak stomach, but due to stress you develop gastricis. During this time your only solace is the young doctor that was assigned to you, Sahashi (CV: Aoshima Yaiba = Narita Ken). His kind words make you forget your pain. However as your condition shows no signs of improvement, Sahashi proposes a very special treatment...

The entire CD will be recorded with the dummy head mic, and is planned for a 2014.03.20 release.

Genji Monogatari Danjo Gyakuten Koiuta

Just like the title implies. this is a version of the Genji Monogatari where the gender of all the characters will be reversed (if you would translate the title you would get something like ''Genji Monogatari Male-Female Reversed Love Song''). Here is the official site.

The listener takes the role of Hikaru Genji, all all of his love interests (well almost all of them anyway) have been gender swapped. The following characters make an appearance: Aoi (CV: Ono Kenshou), Rokujo (CV: Toriumi Kousuke), Yugao (CV; Ehuchi Takuya), Tsukiyo (CV; Suzuki Tatsuhisa), Yukari (CV; Kimura Ryouhei), To no Chujo (CV; Maeno Tomoaki). Interesting enough, this means that Fujitsubo (who is arguably one of the most famous characters in the story) is not present.

It sounds like this will be a series, with the first volume planned for release somewhere in April.

Honey Bee New Projects
Honey Bee opened a page to announce all of their new projects for 2014. While some of them were already know, others are new. Likewise, some of them already have a lot of info online there is only little known about some of the other projects.

The first one is Photograph Journey.
The official site for this is already online and we already know that drama CDs will be released for each character. The keyword for this project is ”travel” and the illustrator is Mizuguchi Too (水口 十, website, pixiv, twitter)

The keyword for their second project is “Ayakashi” (supernatural beings) Kazuaki will be the illustrator for the project. More info on this project will be released in the April B’s Log (that means the one that goes on sale in February)

The keyword for their 3rd project is “Shinigami” (Death god, however, the banner simply reads “death”). The illustrator for this project is Satoi (Diabolik Lovers, Sukima Time). More info on this project will be released in the June B’s Log (that means the one that goes on sale in April)

The fourth project is still completely secret, they don’t even provide a keyword for it. However, the illustrator is known; Fujiwara Ryou (冨士原 良, website, twitter). More info is scheduled to come in June.

And then finally there is the new Starry Sky project, obviously illustrated by Kazuaki again.

While only Photograph Journey is confirmed to have any drama CDs at the moment, most (if not all) of Honey Bee have included drama CDs at some point, so chances are high that most of these will include a few drama CDs as well.

Short News
- Rejet announced a collaboration with Karaoke no Tetsujin, a lot of the songs from Diabolik Lovers will be available at the Tetsujin their stores.
- The voice actor for YanEro 3 刃衣斬人 turned out to be Shimono Hiro. I was surprised to say the least.
- EM2 will be releasing drama CDs for the BL game Si-Nis-Kanto.

Two Five is a starting a new series called Mouhou Shounen Magic Heart which is all about... Magical Boys! We are probably all familiar with Magical Girls like Sailor Moon / Card Captor Sakura/ Wedding Peach / name-any-nostalgic-magical-girl-series-here, but this time we get a genderbent.

Half of the magical country of Tōtatis is being invaded by a dark force, and in order to restore the world to peace, a young prince is given a special mission. which is "to collect Filia/Philia, crystals of love created from kisses." *description shamelessly paraphrased from wakannaiyo
More details about the series have been released. In each CD, you will meet 1 sadistic character and 1 masochistic character. The two characters have the same job, moreover, they are voiced by the same seiyuu. Through your interactions with both of them you can figure out which you like more, S or M.

In vol.1 two high school students take the spotlight. One of them Sagara Tomoya, the “manipulative S” honors student and student council president. The other is Murashige Tamotsu, a “physical pain M” and delinquent. Both will be voiced by Masuda Toshiki. And oh, the Dummy Head Mic will be used for certain scenes.
The character for Vol.3 is an energetic freeter (that is, someone who has multiple part-time jobs) voiced by Terashima Takuya. While you are talking about your dreams he -not having found his own dream yet- starts to grow attracted to you.

Vol.4 has Taniyama Kishou as a host. While he currently works as a host, he actually aspires to be a musician. The description for this volume mentions the dummy head mic again, so we can look forward to that as well.
The character for the next Toubousha is Tsuzuki Kazumi (CV: Eguchi Takuya). He is your classmate and sits next to you in class. When you -as the class representative- learn that your classmates were bullying because they scorn him as a delinquent and a criminal you start to worry about him and decide to ask the truth about what really happened in the past.
Sherlock Homes
Apple Forest is releasing a drama CD based on the Sherlock Holmes novels. Sherlock Holmes will be played by Fujiwara Keiji, Watson by Morikawa Toshiyuki, and Arsene Lupin by Yusa Kouji.

In case you are wondering, Arsene Lupin is a character who is not originally from the Sherlock Holmes books, but was created by the French writer Maurice Leblanc. However there have been stories where the two interact, and lets not forget that the second book in the Arsene Lupin series is titled ''Arsene Lupin vs. Herlock Sholmes''. No that is not a typo. Yes it is reference.

The official site doesn't say much, but it does feature the character designs for these 3 characters. As well as the release date, 2014.03.26, in huge letters.

Short News:
- Inma vol. 4 will be voiced by Asagi Yuu (= Suzuki Yuuto)
- Bathroom Lovers vol.6 will be voiced by Eguchi Takuya.
- RekiSing is getting a second series.

Kyuuketsuki Darling
The Kyuuketsuki Darling website updated with a banner that leads to a blog post with info about the upcoming fandisks. Yes, Fandisks. Three of them are planned for now, to be released somewhere in spring 2014, and they are a sort of epilogue or after story to the original CDs.

- Vol.1: Remi Barrier (CV; Nakai Kazuya) & Tsukioka Haruki (CV: Kimura Ryouhei)
- Vol.2: William Edwards (CV: Yoshino Hiroyuki) & Azer Aslan (CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko)
- Vol.3: Katagiri Ryuuji (CV: Ono Yuuki) & Sakuraba Ryuuto (CV: Taniyama Kishou)

The Marine Entertainment website also lists "others" for each CD, so maybe more characters will appear in each CD, but it is safe to say that the two listed will be the main focus.

Fantasy Kareshi ~Dive into Fairytale~ [1][2]
Animate and Marine Entertainment are teaming up for another collaboration (their first one was Risou Kareshi). This time you become the heroine of a well known fairytale, and for each fairytale there are two characters you can fall in love with.

In the Peter Pan story you become Wendy, and you can choose between Peter and Captain Hook. In Red Riding Hood you become the titular Little Red Riding Hood, and you can choose between the Hunter (Rolan) and the Wolf (Ruu? Lou?), and finally in Hansel and Gretel you become Gretel, and you can choose between Hansel and the Magician. They turned Hansel into your half brother for this series (and the witch into a male magician). 6 CD's have been planned for now, so probably one for each character.

The seiyuu for this series have already been decided; Oosaka Ryouta, Ono Yuuki, Shimono Hiro, Suwabe Junichi, Taniyama Kishou, and Toriumi Kousuke.

But who will voice which character is up to us to decide! Animate and Marine entertainment are currently running an survey where you can choose who will voice which role. The web version can be found here. I translated all of the character descriptions in case you want to consider those while voting. Details about the voting process are also in that post.

The results of the survey will be posted somewhere in February next year, so I am guessing the releases will start several months after that. It is a long wait, but probably worth it considering that we get a say in which role the seiyuu will voice.
However the series will be released winter next year, so we will have to wait quite a while. According to the website there will be info in the B's Log that will release later this month.

Speaking of Em2, their official blog has moved to Facebook as of today. This makes it a lot easier to follow, but I'm kind of hesitant about following it. I don't really need all the people on facebook to know about this particular hobby....
This series, which roughly translates to "Our Secret" is based on the concept of ”a secret that you share with your boyfriend”. That secret can be something that is focussed on him, for example:

・He looks scary, but when it is just the two of you he uses baby talk
・ Even though he says he is an S he is an incredible M
・ It turns out he loves stockings very much

Or, a secret that you share
・You are keeping it a secret but you actually met on a dating site
・You are dating your high school teacher

And of course it will be a R-18 series, so the love scenes with your boyfriend won’t end at only kissing. The first CD is to be released in January, and will feature a boyfriend who is secretly an M, voiced by 下田ヒロシとハッピーターンズ (Shimoda Hiroshi to Happy Turns(?) = Shimowada Hiroki).

The second CD will be released in February and will feature a boyfriend who is good at teasing, voiced by Kurose Takaya (= Kuroda Takaya).

Akogare no Otonari-san [1][2]
e-animedia / Gakken their endless list of "Akogare no" series continues with "Akogare no Otonari-san", which is all about the character who live in a certain mansion - and the actual rooms of the seiyuu that voice them.

Each CD has two parts, a drama part where you fall in love with one of the residents and a talk part where Yonaga Tsubasa (who voices the caretaker in the drama part) talks with the seiyuu who voiced the main guy about their lives and rooms.

The first CD has Tachibana Shinnosuke as a slightly forceful designer. You just moved in to your new apartment, and somehow end up buying new furniture together with the guy living next to you. (I am sorry, this is all the information they give on the plot).

The second CD has Ono Daisuke as a friendly kindergarten teacher. This time you are someone who is not very good at expressing your emotions in an earnest manner, and you suddenly get invited on a date to the amusement park by your neighbour. You are not that enthusiastic about it, but seeing him interact with a lost child you start to get attracted to him... However, the ferris wheel that you got on together suddenly stops, and to make things worse a thunderstorm starts. This is when he gently hugs you when you are trembling with fear….

While the first CD did not say anything about this, the second CD will use the dummy head mic. I don't know whether that means the rest of the series will use it too, or that it is just a one time thing.
The official blog updated with the cover and tracklist of the CD.

The tracklist follows a sort of standard pattern going from coming home > dinner > bath time > bedtime > pillow talk > morning. There is a bonus track titled "the first...." which I secretly suspect to be either something really cute or really hilarious.

The first press comes with a bonus cast talk, which is recorded with the dummy head mic.

Please note that this is not a review, but more of an analysis of the CD and why I think it was mediocre. I originally wanted to post it as a reply on tumblr, but it turned into a full essay and I didn't want to post a wall of text like this on tumblr. So again, this is not an actual review. What I am doing is closer to dissecting the story (and it's flaws)

The CD starts when you 'wake up' and see Sakuya, who explains that you are dead, and that he is the one that killed you. You are currently in the afterlife. He tells you he will explain how you ended up like this, and that this explanation starts 7 day ago. After this the CD counts down to the day of your death, from Sakuya his perspective.

The first scene between the two of you is that you are shopping. You just picked up your wedding ring for your wedding, which is in 7 days. Quick calculation tells us that means you die on your wedding day, nice. While you are out Sakuya notices you coughing.

Next scene is Sakuya arriving at work and noticing that there are a lot of people absent. When he sits down a newspaper falls (out of his bag? from the desk?) and he remembers an article about an unknown disease spreading. (it is literally called ''kibyou'' meaning ''strange disease''). Sakuya re-reads the article, which states that the disease starts with a headache and that it has caused several deaths...

Next scene is when Sakuya gets home. While waiting for you to get home Sakuya watches the news and sees a report about a traffic incident. This triggers a flashback from his childhood; the traffic accident where he lost his father. Apparently they were driving to the airport to go on an overseas trip for his birthday. For some reason his mother is not there in his memories. (More on this scene later). This accident also caused amnesia - he has no memories from before the accident.

He is pulled back to reality by your entering the room. You visited the hospital on the way home (more alarm bells), it will take a few days before you get the results of your tests however. Sakuya makes you some hot milk, but you drop the mug and cut yourself. He cleans the wound by sucking it, noting that your blood 'tastes strangely sweet'. At this point I was afraid we would end up with a vampire story, but thankfully we a spared from that. It is still important later on though.

A few days later Sakuya receives a call from the hospital you went to, telling him to come alone. He is instantly worried so he leaves for the hospital right away. The doctor who called him greets him with ''long time no see''. Apparently he was an apprentice of Sakuya his father, but Sakuya doesn't remember him. The doctor tells him that having no memories is no surprise after that incident in the past.

More worried about your condition however, Sakuya asks about the test results. This is where the CD goes overboard. Apparently the strange disease always results in death, and it is not only spreading in Japan but in the entire world. However, they discovered an anti-virus in your blood. Thus, they want you to return to the hospital for tests so that they can develop an antidote. The catch is that you would become a human vegetable in the process. Sakuya immediately yells he won't allow that because you are more important than all of humankind to him. To which the doctor replies that he deliberately infected you with the disease, so that you will HAVE to come to the hospital.

Sakuya is obviously shaken by all of this, and skips work the next day. While doing this he has another flashback, but this time not of the accident but of what seems like a fire, and a woman trying to save him. Because he never saw any of these scenes in his flashbacks before he is understandably confused. This is when he realizes that the doctor said incident and not accident when talking about his memory loss.

Thus Sakuya decides to research whether there where any news articles about a fire which could be related to this. And of course he finds one that fits, it pictures a lodge (probably something like this) which is also pictured on the single family photo he has left. The news article mentions there was a fire, causing the death of one person and heavily injuring another. Because his mother is dead, Sakuya logically assumes his mother died in the fire.

(meanwhile, Sakuya has more flashbacks of a girl with a doll in a red dress, and your condition gets worse, although it could be just fatigue from overwork)

The day before the wedding however, Sakuya accidentally finds a box with all of your old dolls and plushies. Which (surprise surprise) contains the doll with the red dress from his flashbacks. This triggers him to remember everything, and to resolve to kill you. Which he does the next day on your wedding, he stabs you in the back when you give each other the ceremonial kiss.

From here on we return to the afterlife, where Sakuya explains the rest. I will do the same, but a bit more pragmatically because this essay is getting long enough as it is.

Explanation and Motives

You were friends with Sakuya when you were little, and the two of you really liked each other. Sakuya his family was on vacation near where you lived, and when the time came for him to go you didn't want him to leave. Thus you resorted to childish tricks like hiding his things so he couldn't leave (accurate child logic btw). You sneaked into the lodge at night to do so. Unfortunately you were carrying an oil lamp (or something similar) and at some point the whole place went up in flames.

Sakuya got caught in the flames and died, his mother sustained heavy injuries in her desperate attempts to save him, and would later succumb to these injuries. However his father was researching cloning, and succeeded in cloning Sakuya - the current Sakuya is a clone of the original, and this is why he has no memories from before the car accident, that was the day he was ''born''

This takes us back to the scene of said accident. Sakuya remembers this as his was father taking him on overseas trip for his birthday. It is more likely that he was fleeing overseas with the cloned child.

Although the article does not mention a second death, Sakuya deduces that there was - you died in the fire as well. This means you are a clone as well, the proof of this is the sweet taste of your blood (this is retro actively confirmed by the last scene).

And THAT is the reason why Sakuya kills you, because the two of you are clones. Not because he doesn't want to sacrifice you to save the world, not because you caused the death of his mother and himself, destroying his life, but because you are clones. More specifically, because he is a clone and suddenly feels like he is just a shadow of the 'real' Sakuya and has no right to live. Note that he apparently decided this seconds after realizing the truth about himself. And his conclusion is to kill you, despite the fact that he still loves you and wished for you to be happy. This makes no sense to me.

The ending and its implications

After Sakuya his explanation has ended and he says goodbye, saying you will go to heaven and he will go to hell, there is a small bonus scene. At first this seems like a ''dream end'' where the entire story turns out to be a dream;

Sakuya wakes up after drifting off, mentioning he has a strange dream but can't really remember what is what about (It sounds like you are on a train or something). His finger hurts, and he mentions he cut himself this morning while making breakfast. The band-aid has slipped off, and you suck his finger to clean the wound, and mention that his blood tastes sweet. Sakuya declares this nonsense and changes the subject, saying that he is looking forward to how the wedding ring will turn out.

Now this scene was awesome for two reasons. First, it subverts the ''dream end''. This scene actually takes place one week before you pick up your wedding ring. Meaning that everything else still very much happened.

Second, you mention Sakuya his blood tastes sweet. Remember that Sakuya said the same about your blood earlier in the CD. With Sakuya definitely being a clone, this proves that you are, indeed, a clone as well.

Commentary on several of the scenes

The opening scene was pretty good to be honest. You are dead, but don't know why. The man who was your fiancé tells you he killed you. What happened? Why would he do that? The start is pretty intriguing actually.

The first real problem is the scene where Sakuya reads the newspaper. It is so incredibly artificial it hurts. I understand that it can be difficult to introduce a topic in a CD with only one seiyuu (and thus no one to bring up the topic) but it is basically forced down your throat. Combining this with your cough from the scene before sets off an amount of red signs and alarm bells that can't be ignored. And while they don't play it completely straight, you do end up infected with the mystery disease.

Next comes the scene at the hospital. First of all, your blood having the (only) anti-virus for a disease which threatens the world sounds too fantastical to me. But there are more things wrong with this scene. I might not have much medical knowledge, but I do not see why you have to become a human vegetable from their tests. If they discovered the anti-virus in your blood, wouldn't that be all they need? Sure, giving a lot of blood (for a possibly prolonged time) would weaken you, but the worst that would happen is that you have to stay in a hospital bed for a while, not die as is heavily implied here.

(Keeping you alive is in their best interest as well, so it is reasonable to assume they would not take so much blood that they would kill you).

Another thing that bothers me is the doctor saying that he infected you with the disease when you came for a check-up. That would mean that they ran tests on your blood immediately after taking it (highly unlikely, it will probably get send to a test centre) AND immediately discovered that there was an anti-virus in it (even more unlikely, that would take extensive testing).

Also, as your blood had the only known anti-virus, Sakuya basically doomed humankind by killing you. Unless they salvage the blood from your cold, dead body or discover a new anti-virus we will all die slow and painful deaths caused by the mystery disease.

Plotholes and other rants.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">The doctor infecting you with the mystery disease as mentioned above, as this would mean he basically infected you before he even knew you had the anti-virus.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">For that matter, why extracting the anti-virus from your blood would result in your death.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">You being a clone. The newspaper article does mention Sakuya his death but makes no mention of a second body.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Even if they only discovered your body later, how did you return to a normal life after being born as clone? There is no indication of you having a strange past anywhere in the story.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Why are there two clones out in the wild, both without any supervision? It is hard to imagine they would just let you go.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Your (and Sakuya's) blood being sweet. If you are just a clone there is no reason for this, unless they used medicine/genetic manipulation to stabilize the clones. it did make for an awesome moment in the ending though.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">It sounds like there is no one present at the wedding, why not?

I guess we'll just have to assume he committed suicide after killing you.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Ono Daisuke his Performance

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">While I have a lot to say about the rest of the CD, I have little to say about OnoD his voice acting. It was neither bad nor really good. I'd be surprised if such a high profile seiyuu gave a bad performance to be honest, but it didn't really move me either.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">A lot of that can be attributed to the writing I suppose; I was getting increasingly annoyed with the story and it would have taken a truly astounding performance to save it. Unfortunately there was no real room for that.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">So I'll go with ''good''. There weren't any bad moments so that makes it good, it just doesn't manage to impress beyond that (in my opinion).

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Conclusion

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">The concept and start of the CD were promising. Unfortunately the plot ends up as too cliché, with a couple of gaping plot holes to make the situation worse.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">I wanted to like this CD, I like mystery stories like this and it had the potential to be heartbreaking. Bitter-sweet would have been a good alternative, but in my opinion the CD barely reaches even that level.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Yet, for all it's flaws, the ending is amazing. When it seemed like they were going to pull a dream end I nearly stopped listening right there. The last thing I needed after a story I hardly enjoyed was a ''just kidding!!'' moment. I'm glad I kept listening though, because it was a well executed double plot twist. If anything, I will be remembering this ending for a long time.

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

I just wrote almost 2500 words on the flaws of a drama CD, haha. Even my incredibly long Wasurenagusa reviews are still only about 1500 words!

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helveticaneue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

It was more like something I needed to get out of my system. Basically this entire post is a rant that is pretending to be coherent.

<strike>It has been a while, how is everyone?</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
<strike>I know I've made a few people worry because I stopped updating (thank you so much for the sweet messages!), but I am fine and it was just life getting in the way of everything.</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
<strike>The combined load of final exams, working as much as possible, studying for the JLPT1 exam in July, applying for internships, and -on the positive side- my new relationship took so much time it became impossible to keep writing reviews. I didn't even have the time to log in to tumblr, and I made a new record by not even touching my laptop for almost 3 weeks in a row because I simply didn't have the time.</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
<strike>Things have finally calmed down now though. Especially finding an internship took an enormous amount of energy, and the paperwork involved nearly drove me insane (I can probably rage for an hour or more about this, so lets just keep it short here) but everything worked out in the end. On the first of August I landed in Tokyo, where I will be spending 6 months working as an intern at Bosch.</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
<strike>I've settled into my mini apartment and am getting used to the work, which means I will finally have time to devote to my hobby and this blog again.</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
<strike>Instead of jumping in head first and risking another hiatus I am taking some time to do some preparations, and I'll resume posting in September.</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
<strike>I'm sorry for my absence, and I hope to see everyone back next month!!</strike>
<strike>
</strike>
Well that obviously failed. But the blog shall not die, never!
Behind the scenes the gears have started to turn, and slowly, slowly, everything will fall into place.

極限彼氏~地球がなくなる30分前~

Label: Cineria
Based on: Original
Released: 2013.03.29
Official site: http://ike-men.net/ci_kyokugen.html

Kyokugen Kareshi is a CD about the end of the world, the last 30min to be more specific. A giant comet will be falling on the earth soon, and there is no escape or hope for survival. You spend these last 30 minutes together with your boyfriend Kishida Hiroto (CV: Hosoya Yoshimasa).

The CD starts with Hiroto opening the curtains, saying that the weather is beautiful and that you wouldn't expect weather like this on the day that the earth will end. He sounds remarkably cheery and optimistic. You on the other hand are completely down and crying, so he spends the first few minutes trying to cheer you up. After that you sit together and talk about different things, like how you met, but also about really random things.

Hosoya-san his ability to voice situation CDs in a way that sounds completely realistic more or less makes this CD what it is: a truly bitter sweet story. Hiroto tries to cheer you up in the beginning, which worked in my case so I was able to smile for a large part of it. I know many people have been crying rivers over this CD, but I was able to keep my tears from falling thanks to Hiroto. The only moment where I nearly started crying is when Hiroto his own voice nearly breaks - Hosoya-san voicing nearly crying characters is something that immediately triggers my tears.

One thing that I did not expect in this CD were the kisses. I obviously expected there to be some kissing, but I more or less expected that they would be simple "chu" kisses. And not the sort that leave me all flustered and hoping for more.

True to the title the main story is 30minutes. There is a secret track and a freetalk after that, but both are pretty short. Without spoiling the secret track (because it is the sweetest thing ever) something very similar actually happened to me once, making this seem even more real and leaving me squeeing and wanting to hug Hiroto.

Conclusion:
Because of the setting I expected to cry rivers (because I know Cineria their works can cause floods of tears) but thanks to Hiroto trying to cheer you up I managed to keep my tears to myself and even smile instead. If you are wondering whether you would like this because of the setting, don't worry and just listen. It is a very good CD, both in terms of writing and acting.

It mostly left me with the urge to listen to everything that is voiced by Hosoyan because it made me love his voice even more than I did before.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893545137868214650.post-56563699292187050312013-04-14T20:08:00.000+02:002013-04-14T20:08:58.293+02:00Weekly News PostThis week somehow passed without a single review.... Meanwhile Gakken just keeps releasing things!!! How the... too many releases guys!! But lets begin with the news that I discovered last week but that got left out of the news post due to post length restrictions:

Oujisama Ouritsu Gakuen
The series is getting a second season, titled Re:Fairy Tale, which takes place 25 years after the original one. We get a new set of princes based on the same fairytales, although it looks like they are keeping the same seiyuu for the same fairytale. They are starting with the 2nd year students again, although the roles have been switched around a bit.

Ibaraki Sou (CV: Terashima Takuma), who is based on Sleeping Beauty, Kanzaki Haru (CV: Suzumura Kenichi) who is based on The Princess and the Frog, and Shirase Yukiya (CV: Toriumi Kousuke) who is based on Snow White are the first ones to get a CD, with Ibaraki his CD being released on 2013.06.15. All three seiyuu are listed as cast for the first CD, so this probably means the CDs will follow the same pattern as the first series, with scenes with all three of them and scenes with just you and your prince charming.

As you can see they have taken one prince from each year in the first series and put those together. You might also have noticed that their last names are still similar to the the princes from the first series, which makes me wonder whether these are the 'children' of you x your prince charming of choice from the first series (if they are this gives me all kinds of complicated feelings).

Akogare Series

More CDs in the 'Akogare no Tenya-san
CD'series have been announced: in the second this time you fall for someone working at a
glasses shop. You meet a sweet glasses guy who is almost like a butler.
At least that is what you thought, it turns out that his personality
changes whenever he puts on a different pair of glasses! The CD will be
voiced by Maeno Tomoaki, and is planned for a 2013.05.30 release.

In the third CD you have a childhood friend (CV: Shimono Hiro) with a aroma <strike>fetisch</strike> fixation. You usually think of him as somewhat weak spirited, but when it comes to aroma's he completely livens up. And so you end up making aroma candles together.

I didn't pay much attention to it when the first CD
was announced, but the illustrator for this series is Kawato Yasutake
(Anata ga Ofuro de Noboseru, Storm Lover), which means that I now
officially hope that this series will have many many more releases so
that I can see more and more of his art. The release is planned for 2013.

There is another release in their 'Akogare no Shokugyou' series as well; this time you get the chance to be a lawyer. Just like before you get to work with a senpai (CV: Matsuoka Yoshitsugu)

and a veteran in the field (CV: Inoue Kazuhiko).

And to make things even better they have started another Akogare series spin-off: Akogare no Date CD. Which basically means more dates for us, fufufu. full title is "憧れのデートCDシリーズ】vol.1 ツンデレ俺様と魅惑の海外旅行プランニング (akogare no date series vol.1 tsundere ore-sama to miwaku no kaigai ryokou planning, Vol.1 Planning an enchanting overseas trip together with a tsundere ore-sama). Which is a mouthful but it does describe exactly what the CD is about. The only confusing thing is that the product description says that your boyfriend is a tsundere koakuma (develish) type.... which makes me wonder which one it is because mixing all three together is almost im,possible if you ask me. Either way, your boyfriend will be voiced by Kishio Daisuke.

Sweets Danshi

The second CD for this series features another guy who loves sweets, this time voiced by Toriumi Kousuke. The official description doesn't give much more info, except for the fact that your boyfriend apparently thought of a date course full of sweet things to eat... The CD is planned for a 2013.06.26 release.

Futari de Issho ni
And another diet CD has been announced, this time the method is running. Nakai Kazuya will voice the CD and talk you through your excersises. (I seriously wish they'd give a bit more info). The release will be on 2013.06.26

Danshi Koukousei Time Travelers
The contents for the next CD in this series have been announced as well. Or at least the time era. This time we are traveling to the bakumatsu era, which obviously means we get to see the shinsengumi in action! Hirakawa Daisuke and Nakai kazuya join the cast for this CD. The release is planned for 2013.05.30

Kutsuya Glicine
Introducing: a dummy head CD about shoes. No just kidding. In Shoe Shop Glicine you just had your heartbroken 3 months ago, and to make things worse it suddenly starts raining when you are on your way home. While you hurry back your eye suddenly falls on that particular shoe shop you have always been curious about. According to the rumours flying around, it is being managed by a young man who recently came back from Italy. Hoping to raise your spirits a bit, you decide to enter the shop.

The shop manager is Fujisaki Akira (CV: Meano Tomoaki) who has indeed just returned from Italy. He is normally calm and sweet, but also has a passionate side. Always serious when it comes to love, he is determined to succeed once he falls for someone and will keep making advances until he does.

The official description says that it is an "slightly eroi?" CD. The term 深読み (fukayomi, which means "reading too much into [a situation]"). So maybe Akira will use some wording that could mean multiple things (ie: could be interpreted as eroi)? We'll have to wait for a sample to see what the CD will be like. At any rate it will make use of the dummy head mic and will be released on 2013.06.07.

Jiyuu Kenkyuu
Cineria announced a new Jiyuu Kenkyuu CD in their mail magazine. 先生(おれ)とおまえと自由研究……、忘れられない夏の恋愛日記 (ore to omae to jiyuu kenyuu.... wasurarenai natsu no renai nikki, You and I and the research project.... an unforgettable summer love diary). The first word is written as 'sensei' (teacher) and read as 'ore' (I) which probably means this will feature a love story between a teacher and student (the listener). Nakai Kazuya is listed as cast, and the CD is planned for a 2012.07.26 release.

Considering that the first Jiyuu Kenyuu CD had me crying rivers within 10 seconds, I expect this one to break my heart into a thousand little pieces all over again.

Inma Series
Frontierworks is releasing another interesting CD series.... 淫魔 (inma, incubus) is a series in which 2 incubi will visit you in your dreams. They look the same, sounds the same, but the words that they seduce you with are completely different.

In other words, the two characters look and sound the same(and will be voiced by the same seiyuu), but have a different personality. The first CD has a do-S and a sweet incubus. The do-S incubus hates women and looks down upon them. He loves to suck energy while looking at women as they drown in pleasure and have lost all reason. While the other incubus might be sweet, but he has no understanding of what "embarrassment" is and will say the most extreme things without realising what he is doing.

The official site announces the series as "extremer then anything [released] before" and says that it "describes the night you spend with the incubi until the end, without leaving anything out". The quotes from the characters description certainly back this up, and (not?) surprisingly the most extreme quote comes from the sweet type: "You look impatient.... as I thought, one finger isn't enough is it?".

<strike>Do me and my conscience a favour, and please please please stay away from this series if you have no idea what the above quote implies. </strike>

I don't know what to think any more. Every next sentence on the official site makes me feel embarrassed just for reading it. This sounds more like a doujin work than something that is being released by a major label. Anyway, the first CD will be released on 2013.07.26. A second CD has also been announced, and it will feature a Maniac and a Naive/ Inexperienced incubus.

Sengoku Soine
More Soine CDs! And this time we get famous generals from the Sengoku Era to talk us to sleep. The first CD has Date Masamune (CV: Sugiyama Noriaki). As a lover of imported goods and good food, Masamune entertains you by giving a dinner with delicious wine and food. You drink too much and end up in a "bed" that is part of his collection. (Historically speaking Date Masamune encouraged trade, so it is not unthinkable he has a collection of imported goods. Thank you wikipedia).

Vol.1 is planned for release somewhere in June. Vol.2 and 3 have also been announced, they will feature Sanada Yukimura and Ishida Mitsunari respectively. The seiyuu for these two have not been announced yet though. A teaser site is online, but it hasn't fully opened yet.

Arcana Famiglia
I managed to miss one of the releases for this series in the last news post: Ash (CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko) is getting his own Guido Regalo CD. Just like before the CD will be like a guide tour of the Regalo Isle, and Felicita will be voiced by Noto Mamiko.

Corpse Party
Taking a step back from all of the otome CDs to report about Corpse Party Dead Patient getting a drama CD. The descriptions says that it will have a comedy scenario (as opposed to the game), but up to now I've been to scared of the series to actually give any of the CDs a try (even though I know the entire story). The CD is planned for a 2013.06.26 release.

Short News
- The voice sample for Anata ga Ofuro de Noboseru CD Season 2 Vol.1 is crack as always. Yoshino uses an annoying voice as always as well. (<strike>Someone give me back my butler Yoshinoooooo</strike>)

- It has already been up for a while but there is a song sample up for Seventh Heaven Vol.1. It made me instantly interested in the series. Use head/earphones.

- Fujiwara Keiji will be in Cineria their Ojisan Paradise CD.

Momo&Grapes
MomoGre is releasing another drama CD adaption of a famous book, this time they are doing the Phantom of the Opera. オペラ座の怪人~愛と哀しみの鎮魂歌~ (opera no kaijin ~ai to kanashimi no requiem~, The Phantom of the Opera ~A Requiem of Love and Sadness~) is planned for a 2013.05.21release.

The phantom will be voiced by Hirata Hiroaki, Christine by Noto mamiko, Raoul by Hatano Wataru, and the Persian ('Daroga') by Tanaka Atsuko. I'm sure others will be surprised that Daroga is being voiced by a woman (while he is very much male in the original story), but Tanaka Atsuko has a deep voice and has voiced male characters before, so I assume that they haven't suddenly changed his gender and that it will all work out in some way (MomoGre has my complete trust when it comes to adaptions like these).

Ojisama VS Wakazou
Staying with Momogre for a moment, a second CD in their Ojisama VS Wakazou series was announced a while ago. The idea of this series is that it puts veteran seiyuu against younger seiyuu (I'm saying younger, because the difference is not as extreme as the title implies). This second CD has Horiuchi kenyuu VS Sakurai Takahiro.

Storywise The heroine (meaning the listener) is just a normal OL. After breaking up with your boyfriend a couple of years ago you are taking a break from romance as a whole. And then one day Ishinose Minato(?), one of your co-workers, asks you out. In order to reject him you make a plan to draw the attention of his older brother Yuusei and father-and-company-president Yasuaki(?), but the two of them end up falling in love with you for real.

This description leaves me puzzled as there seem to be 3 people involved, and Momogre has given no details on who is voiced by who, although I think it is safe to assume that Yasuaki will be voiced by Horiuchi Kenyuu. The CD is planned for a 2013.04.25 release (in Momogre their own shop, that probably means that it will be available in other places a little later).

Amnesia

I'm a bit late with noticing this, but the Amenesia anime is getting a second drama CD later this month titled "ひとつ隣のアムネシア"(hitotsu tonari no amnesia,
the amnesia right next [to me]) The story seems to be an original one,
although close to the actual story of the anime. Due to some sort of
event the heroine (CV: Nazuka Kaori) starts jumping around worlds again,
and to return to her own one she must try to find a 'cube'. Let's hope
that Nazuka-san will be able to speak a bit more this time, because I
don't think I've heard the heroine utter a single complete sentence in
the entire anime (=_=).

And with the release of the
Amnesia Crowd game we are also getting a second round of character CDs.
Just like before the CDs will have a character song, mini drama, and
situation voices. The first one will feature Shin and Toma, and will be
released on 2013.06.12. The second one will feature Ikki and Kent and
will be released on 2013.07.03, and the third one will feature Ukyo and
Orion and will be released on 2013.08.07.

TsukiUta
This
was one of those series that I have sort of been ignoring because I
thought it was more like a character song series, but TsukiUta also has
drama parts <strike>(and Hosoyan voiced vol.4) </strike>so it is time to pay some attention to it.

TsukiUta
features two characters each month, one male and one female, who have
been created in the image of the month the CD is released in. Thus, the
characters for January represent that month, and so on and so forth. The
series title 'TsukiUta' is written in katakana as ツキウタ, but it is pretty obvious that this comes from 月(tsuki, month) and 歌(uta, song), thus a song for each month (^-^)

The
CDs have a prologue, 2 songs, and an epilogue/ mini drama. The first
song is different for the male and female versions (they each have their
own songs) while the second one is the same for both characters but
slightly remixed. All of the songs are written by famous
NicoNicosingers/songwriters, so the entire series is a sort of
collaboration between the seiyuu and niconico.

The
series actually already started in December last year, with Shiwasu
Kakeru (CV: Kaji Yuuki) for the male team and Hijiri Kurusu (CV:
Kanamoto Hisako) for the female team. Their songs were written by
Satsuki ga Tenkomori.

Januari had Mutsuki Hajime (CV:
Toriumi Kousuke) for the male team and Hanazono Yuki (CV: Imai Asami)
for the female team. Their songs were written by Machigerita.

Februari
had a pair of twins: Kisaragi Koi (CV: Masuda Toshiki) for the male
team and Kisaragi Ai (CV: Mako) for the female team. Their songs were
written by Nijihara Peperon.

March had Yayoi Haru (CV: Maeno Tomoaki) and Momosaki Hina (CV: Ookubu Rumi), their songs were written by Yuuya.

April
had Uduki Arata (CV: Hosoya Yoshimasa) and his childhood friend Togawa
Chisa (CV: Nonaka Ai). Their songs were written by ChouchouP

May will have Satsuki Aoi (CV: KENN) and Yuuki Wakaba (CV: Uchiyama Yumi), their songs will be written by Nem.

Releases
for the remaining months have only been announced for the guys, there
is no word on a continuation on the female side as well.

For June we have Minaduki Rui (CV: Aoi Shouta), who's songs will be written by Yoyoyuppe, and July will feature Fuduki Kai (CV: Hatano Wataru) who's songs will be written by Hitoshizuku and Yama△. CDs for the remaining months ( August~November) have been announced but no info on the seiyuu or songwriters yet.

Besides
these CDs a drama CD featuring the male characters from the first 6
months has also been announced. The story will be about the 6 of them forming an unit together and their life in the dormitory of their agency. The drama CD is planned for a 2013.05.10 release.

Toubousha
Our (or my?) prayers have been heard an the series still continues. Not one, but three more CDs have been announced, complete with seiyuu and release date.

Vol.4 will feature a character called 'Tomoki' (CV: Kimura Ryouhei) and will be released on 2013.05.29.

Vol.5 will feature a character called 'Atsushi' (CV: Sakurai Takahiro) and will be released on 2013.06.26.

The name of the character for vol. 6 has not been announced yet, but the CD will be voiced by Hirakawa Daisuke and will be released on 2013.07.31.

Details about the story and characters will be released through the blog and official site on a later date.

If you know me (or saw my post on tumblr) you can probably guess that I am jumping up and down like an idiot and went over the rainbow into fangirl heaven after seeing this cast list (seriously, the only thing that could have made it better is Hosoya being on that list as well). I already loved the series and after seeing this it has earned my eternal support. Now all that we need is for one of the guys to actually be guilty, that would really make my day.

42gami
Just like with Toubousha, 3 more CDs have been announced for this series. Koyasu Takehito will return as the gatekeeper, and the cast for the individual seiyuu for the CDs have also been announced.

Vol.4 will feature Suzumura Kenichi and Toyonaga Toshiyuki. Up to now there was always just one shinigami after your life, so maybe we are getting twin characters or something like that this time? The CD will be released on 2013.05.29.

Vol.5 will feature Maeno Tomoaki, and will be released on 2013.06.29.
Vol.6 will feature Seki Tomokazu, and will be released on 2013.07.31.

Details on the characters and stories will be released on the official site and blog on a later date for this series as well.

Innai Kareshi
Studio Croi is releasing their second drama CD at the end of this month; Innai Kareshi
(Hospitalized Boyfriend). When your mother his hospitalized you start
to visit the hospital regularly to see her. During this time you meet
Mamiya Chihiro (CV: Minagawa Junko) who is hospitalized in the same
hospital and you fall in love with each other. However due to Chihiro
being hospitalized there is no way you can spend your time as a normal
couple...

Besides Chihiro you also meet Kazuraki Souta
(CV: Katsunuma Kiyoshi) who is Chihiro his doctor and seen Chihiro as
his little brother. He sort of watches over the relationship between
Chihiro and you.

This sounds (and looks, just look at that
cover!) like I might cry rivers when listening to it, but it is
Minagawa Junko voicing a situation CD so I am really really interested
in this (I was waiting for her to appear in one)

10nen Hatsukoi
After the CDs for the individual characters a drama CD featuring all of them will also be released.

10 years ago Ryouta hears a rumour that the lookout platform that oversees the city will be demolished. As this is an important place to all of the guys, they come together to try and stop this from happening. And 10 years later all 5 of them come together in their home town once again.

Of course Suzumura Kenichi, Sakurai Takahiro, Namikawa Daisuke, Nakai Kazuya, and Ishida Akira will all be there voicing their respective characters again. The CD is planned for a 2013.05.29 release.
HumANdroid

Arc System Works seems to be joining the situation CD market (which surprised me because I mostly know them for Guilty Gear and Blazblue, which are both fighting games... but that aside) with the HumANdroid series.

Somewhere in the near future the Reus Fortner Company has decided to start a new service for women by starting the "RF Lover Type Humandroid Project". Three researchers have developed one of these so caed "HumANdroids" and by seeing which one is the most popular with the ladies the company will decide which one they will turn into the real product. Hearing about this project a rival company calles New-Tech Institute also starts development on a lover type robot...

Three different robots have been developed: the Type-S (CV: Suzuki Tatsuhisa) is an ore-sama type android. he is straight forward, passionate, and forceful. He has been programmed with the idea that women should be protected by their boyfriends. He believes that if he is satisfied with a result, others will be as well. If you praise him he'll try to act even coolespecially in front ohis 'girlfriend'.

Suou Shuuya (CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko) who developed the Type-S is a bit of a scatterbrain. He is actually quite smart, but often wants to show off and ends up making mistakes because of that, when people look at him with pitiful looks because of this he tends to run away (literally).

The Type-M has an almost puppy-like cute character, he follows his owner around like one as well. At times he'll be selfish or beg for things. His creator is Makabe Osamu, who is described as being 'slightly dangerous'. The love of his life is "research" and he has no interest in women. He is usually a bit sadistic and only finds it troublesome when women try to approach him.

The Type-H is good at housework, and a tsundere (ha?!?). He loves music and is always seen listening to it on his music player. His creator Hououji Kou is the a genius but incredibly bad at housework, which is why he created the Type-H and has him do all the housework for him. He is popular with both men and women, but always gets scolded by his own humANdroid.

Each CD will feature a HumANdroid and their creator, and it sounds like you (the listener) will be a test subject to see how well the HumANdroids function as 'boyfriends'. This probably means that you will get to choose between the two of them in one way or another. So far the last two (Type-H and Kou) seem like the most interesting combo.

Just looking at the names of the HumANdroids I would have thought that they would have a Sadistic, a Masochistic, and a perverted (H, 'ecchi') personality but their character descriptions don't really mention this. I guess we will have wait and see whether this still turns out to be the case or not.

The CD for Type-S and Shuuya will be released on 2013.05.15
The seiyuu and release dates for the other two CDs are still unannounced (although I expects them to be released in June and July).

Kattou CD ~Tenshi to Akuma no Sasayaki Gassen~
Marine entrtainment has announced some new series, the first one being Kattou CD ('Conflict CD'). The concept of the CD is that there are moments in your daily life on which you have to make choices, and sometimes it seems like and angel and a demon appear inside of your head trying to tempt you to make a specific choice.

So is is a CD where these two really appear and try to tempt you to choose their option. Both roles will be voiced by the same seiyuu, and the entire CD is recorded with the dummy head mic.

Vol.1 is voiced by Kishio Daisuke and will be released on 2013.07.24. In this CD all sorts of everyday scenario choices pop up. You are out shopping, and are confronted with various choices throughout the day.

Vol.2 is voiced by Hirakawa Daisuke (you can't have a series with multiple characters voiced by one person without the uncrowned king of said genre now can you?) and will be released on 2013.08.28. In this CD it is raining outside and you need to decide what you will to for the day.

Vol.3 is voiced by Okamoto Nobuhiko and will be released on 2013.09.25. In this CD you are right in front of deadline, will you finish your work or....?

Otona no Naraigoto
The second series they are releasing is 'otona no naraigoto' (lessons for adults). That title actually sounds a lot more evil that it is. In each CD you will start with learning something, and your teacher just happens to be very handsome guy, so of course the end result is that you fall in love. The entire CD will be recorded with the dummy head mic.

In the first CD you set out to get your driver's licence, and your instructor is the incredibly strict Aze Mamoru (CV: Toriumi Kousuke). While you are clumsy you are also trying your very best, and Mamoru gradually starts to warm up to your earnest attitude, eventually falling in love with you. Vol.1 will be released on 2013.07.24

In the second CD you are taking golf lessons in preparation for a golf competition at work. Your instructor is Tomori Kaname (CV: Kimura Ryouhei) who above all tries to teach you how much fun golf is. While taking lessons you become more and more interested in golf, and in return Kaname starts to grow interested in you. Vol.2 will be released on 2013.08.28

In the third CD your parents think you should learn how to be a good bride so they send you to a cooking class. The teacher turns out to be Kanda Yoshihito (CV: Sakurai Takahiro), who is famous from TV. While most of the students are taking the class because they wanted to meet Yoshihito you are just there to <strike>learn how to be a better waifu</strike> learn how to cook, which results in Yoshihito taking an interest in you. Vol.3 will be released on 2013.09.25.

Kyuuketsuki Darling
As if DiaLovers and Taisho Kyuuketsuki Ibun weren't claiming enough blood already, Marine Entertainment has decided to start a vampire series as well, Kyuuketsuki Darling (Vampire Darling) is a series that is based on the themes 'vampires' and 'marriage'.

Despite using the dummy head mic the teaser site actually mentions that it will be a story about pure love. How you meet, fall in love, and eventually marry.

The site just opened so there is not much to see yet, but the Marine Entertainment blog provides us with a little bit more info.

Not only your boyfriend is a vampire, you are as well. <strike>Good, that means you won't just lose blood this time but get a chance to restock as well</strike>. Jokes aside, I think that is a first actually. While I am using the term vampire here the blog post actually uses "吸血体質" (kyuuketsu taishitsu) which would literally mean a "predisposition to bloodsucking" or "a body [that needs to] suck blood". Which basically means a vampire, so I am sticking with that.

It looks like there will 6 different stories. 3 of them feature a normal marriage, and 3 of them an international marriage (in other words, 3 of the vampires are Japanese and 3 of them a foreign).

As for the characters:
Case.1 Kyokudou Hen - Katagiri Ryuuji (? CV: Ono Yuuki)
Case.2 Shitsuji Hen - William Edwards (CV: Yoshino Hiroyuki)
Case.3 Host Hen - Sakuraba Yuuto (? CV: Taniyama Kishou)
Case.4 Pâtissier Hen - Remy Valier (CV: Nakai Kazuya)
Case.5 Mangaka Hen - Tsukioka Haruki (CV: ???)
Case.6 Ouji Hen - Azel Asnaan (? CV: ???).

'Kyokudou' can mean something like 'evil' or 'wicked' but it can also refer to the yakuza or underworld. We'll have to wait for more details on the story to see what it is. Looks like the foreign guys will be British, French, and probably Arab.

Bathtime Lovers

Anata ga Ofuro de Noboseru is no longer the only bathroom series around: Cineria is also jumping on the bandwagon. They are releasing Bathtime Lovers under their chocokurage brand.

Bathtime Lovers seems to be exactly what it says on the tin, the blog described it as a series where you can experience a lovey-dovey time in the bath with together with your boyfriend.

Two CDs have been announced so far: Vol.1 will feature a Yuki (CV: Okitsu Kazuyuki), who is the same age as the listener, and will be released on 2013.05.31. Vol.2 will feature Keiichi (CV: Kuroda Tatsuya), who is older than the listener, and will be released on 2013.06.28

Ore ni Suru? Boku ni Suru?
This was announced quite a while ago but I don't think I covered it at the time.

You met your two friends Masaomi and Sugato(?) at university and have been friends ever since. Both of them like you, but neither of them has had the courage to confess his feelings for you so now you are stuck in a more then friends but less than lovers situation with both of them.

One day when you go drinking together you forget the time and miss the last train, so the three of you decide to crash at Masaomi his place for the night. The only problem: he has only one futon (bed) so and you end up sharing it with both of the guys.

To make things better; this series makes use of the dummy head mic. The CD is planned for a 2013.06.28 release.

While this could be really cute, it is also made by Cineria (well, technically Chocokurage, but it is still written by Aoi Konbu) which makes me expect at least a few stabs to the kokoro. While there has been no mention of a second vol. yet, the description in their store dexcribes it as the first vol of a series, so maybe there will be more in the future.

Oshioki Salesman Iwano Kyousuke
Yes this is BL, but it also Cineria so I can't ignore it. Plus, it has to do with their Aprils Fools joke xD

Cineria their April Fools joke wasn't just a joke: they are launching a new brand called "niche" which will specialize in BL works. And their first work is, exactly, Oshioki Salesman Iwano Kyousuke; the series they announced on April Fools.

Iwano Kyousuke (CV: Hirai Tatsuya = Hirakawa Daisuke) is some sort of salesman. Exactly what he sells and what kind of company he belongs to are unknown though. He always talks very politely, and is usually wearing a 3 piece suit.

His <strike>victim</strike> customer this time is Motegi Kamui (CV: Yotsuya Saida = Okitsu Kazuyuki). A 25 year old university graduate who failed to find a job and has been doing part time jobs all this time. Kamui is an introvert and has a negative view of the world.

A CM and a preview voice are up on the official site, and it sounds like Iwano is going to be one hell of a do-S. The CD will be released on 2013.05.10. And, this is a "vol.1", which means that we can probably expect more do-S Iwano in the futureUnknownnoreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893545137868214650.post-61589582269575019562013-04-05T10:25:00.000+02:002016-04-19T13:53:48.595+02:00Mimikaki Kareshi ni Nekashitsukerarechau Saimin Onsei

耳かき彼氏に寝かしつけられちゃう催眠音声

Label: HypnoLife
Released: 2012.10.26

Mimikaki refers to the cleaning of the ears, as well as the tiny -often bamboo- sticks used to do this. So in this CD your boyfriend(CV: Zero) cleans your ears for you (^-^). It is coupled with a second track in which your boyfriend talks you to sleep.

There are two versions for both tracks included in this download: a simple/normal version and a sweet version. All of these tracks are included a second time as a 'noizcut' version. I assume that the noise is supposed to be less in these tracks, but I couldn't really notice any difference. But more on that later.

In the simple version your boyfriend simply cleans your ears. The actual ear-cleaning (this feels so weird to write) is depicted by a soft scraping sound, which becomes quite relaxing after a while I have to add. He doesn't say anything while doing this, so most of this version is simply the slight scraping. In the sleeping track he massages your ears, after which he talks you to sleep.

The sweet version has more talking. It has a short introduction scene, and he keeps talking during the mimikaki part. What he says is pretty natural and it is never over the top sweet. The second version of the sleep track is the 'whisper' version. The beginning is the same, but starting somewhere halfway through he whispers instead of talking normally.

If you don't feel like sleeping after listening to the first part there is another short track included that provides a simple ending.

I've never had anyone clean my ears so I had no idea what to expect, but I certainly did not expect this CD to be this relaxing! The first part is already relaxing, but I applaud those that are able to stay awake through the entire 40min of the second track. Both times that I listened to this I fell asleep somewhere halfway through (and had to listen to it in the middle of the day to be able to stay awake).

Zero his voice is nice enough to listen to. Some lines are less convincing then other ones, but nothing jarring. What did occasionally bother me is the noise. The recording isn't clean and there is a constant noise. You need to watch out with the volume because al long as the volume isn't too high you won't really notice, but there seems to be some sort of magic point and if you set the volume higher than that the noise suddenly seems to become 3 times as hard. Of course I still managed to fall asleep, so it isn't that prominent, but when the track ends you'll really notice how much noise there was: everything suddenly seems so silent after that.

As most of HypnoLife their works are 18+ I was a bit worried whether this one would also show traces of that but it really is all ages and very cute. There are a few slightly suggestive lines ("I'm putting it all the way in") and one scene where he licks your ears but overall the cuteness factor outweighs these moments.

Conclusion:
This was cute and relaxing. Thanks to the different versions you can mix and match a bit with the tracks which makes listening to it again more interesting. It would be nice if HypnoLife made more things that are all ages (they have a few others, but most of it is 18+)

あなたがお風呂でのぼせるCD 第6弾 「修善寺編」

Company: em2
Based on: Onsen
Released: 2012.08.29

Anata ga Ofuro de Noboseru CD is a series that
has personified various onsen from all over Japan. By using this CD
(which stands for "Compact Dream") the personified spirit of an onsen
appears in your bathroom, and takes a bath together with you. This sixth CD features Shuzenji Onsen and is voiced by Ishida Akira.

As always the Guide (CV: Fujiwara Keiji) does the introduction and hands
you a 'CD' (Compact Dream) and gives you the advice to "pause and take a
deep breath in case things
become too much".

As opposed to all the other CDs Shuzenji appears in the kitchen... because you were spacing out and accidentally poured the CD (instead of instant soup) into a mug xD. Obviously surprised you drop the mug and Shuzenji immediately orders you to get the things needed to clean up. He also scolds you for not looking at the package to see what is in it, saying that he considers something that says that it contains "an onsen spirit" suspicious and would have thrown it away.

Before you are allowed to take a bath you are first ordered to clean the entire bathroom (with Shuzenji making remarks about everything). After this he does wash your hair and apply a treatment for you though. While commenting that you are neglecting your own body.

Even though his counting track isn't the longest one is the series, it certainly feels like it. Shuzenji his personality really shows though. He is strict and always does things as they should be done and with care, his counting somehow really reflects that. Where others would count cheerfully or the pace would change during the counting Shuzenji properly counts in the same rythem the entire time.

After you get out of the bath again he washes the treatment out of your hair and asks why you were so tired that you overslept this morning (it was already 2PM when he appeared in your kitchen), and you answer that you were playing games. It doesn't end there though, you actually drag him out of the bathroom to play games with you xD

Around this time he starts to get sweeter. The remark that he is not going to try his best to be really sweet because "you've got enough games and CDs that feature even sweeter men lined up on your bookshelf" really made me laugh though. Just before he disappears he lets you sleep in his lap, and says some very sweets things though.

In the beginning Shuzenji doesn't show much affection but his attitude does a 180degrees turn near the end. Some of his lines might actually be some of the sweetest in the entire series. I love how you were able to break through his usual pattern and get him to play games with you, being dragged along in someone else their pace is clearly something he isn't used too.In the onsen guide track he is still so completely in love it is adorable.

In the freetalk Ishida-san announces his own role as "Shuzenji Tarou" (Tarou being the most standard and non descriptive name there is) xD He first talks a bit about how he wondered how you personify an onsen, whether they have a personality at all. Which is probably something we were all wondering about at the start of the series. After that he answers the usual questions: Whether there is an item he uses in his
daily 'ofuro (bath) life' (No),
Whether he washes his head or body first (body first, starting at the left arm), Whether he likes his
bath hot or more lukewarm (Lukewarm).

Conclusion:
I liked Shuzenji a lot more than I expected. In the beginning his strict personality is mostly amusing, but when it changes to sweet he is such a precious sweetheart! I'm not really a fan of Ishida Akira in situation CDs, but this was a very nice listen.
If you open their website you'll be greeted by the PV that they made for it (NSFW, mind you)

It is not that I don't see Cineria making a BL CD, but if you watch the PV you'll notice things are off. The seiyuu for example are called ウオ!イイ声!(Whoa!!Nice Voice!!), and the price of the CD is 5000,000yen and the comic version 700,000 yen. The use of the chocokurage logo as a sensor bar and that blushing wooden horse completely cracked me up though xD.

Cineria has announced the start of a new brand called "niche", which will specialize in BL works. And guess what their first project is? Which means every single thing in the PV was accurate, except for the prices (ok, and the seiyuu. But they are indeed peope with nice voices).
This header will also be up only for this day, so go and see the pretty thing!!

Of course they also made a silly blog post for Seventh Heaven, this time Seventh heaven themed snacks. As expected by snacks based on shinigami, most of them kill you xD. translation can be found here.
Rejet their Wasurenagusa one is hilarious. They made a blog post with the cast settings for a Wasurenagusa School Drama. This sounds like something that I would actually love to hear. They also updated the header of the blog to an image drawn by 35 (who does the art for their Seventh heaven series). The header will only be up for one day, so go and check it out before it disappears!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893545137868214650.post-16072133536244233772013-03-30T12:00:00.000+01:002013-03-31T19:18:07.502+02:00Weekly News PostTeam You-Tak
Ono Yuuki and Eguchi Takuya have paired up as a team to make several drama CDs and a radio show a while ago. Their first drama CD was released February last year, but they are releasing new stuff again. Or well, releasing them in stores, because both of them were already sold at events.

The first one is ゆーたくの囁きCD (yuutaku no sasayaki CD). Apparently they asked the audience at their first event to write down sentences that they would like You-Tak to read, but didn't get the chance to actually do this during the event. And so these have been recorded are are now released on a CD. According to Ono Yuuki his blog the CD contains both the Ono Yuuki versions and Eguchi Takuya version of almost 100 sentences, both sweet ones and pretty mean ones.

The second CD is 恋チョイ!~大学生編~ (koichoi ~daigakusei hen~, Koi Choi (Love Choice) ~University Student Chapter~), which is a situation CD in which you get to choose between 4 characters who have all fallen in love with you. You can choose your own favourite by choosing which tracks to listen. I am guessing there is a general story line, after which you can choose which guy you like most. Of course both Ono Yuuki and Eguchi Takuya voice a character, and they are joined by Kimura Ryouhei and Akabane Kenji.

Both CDs will be released on 2013.04.24.

Taisho Kyuuketsuki Ibun
I could have sworn I already wrote something about this, but apparently only on tumblr so I get to write about it again. Taisho Kyuuketsuki Ibun is a series about... well vampires in the Taisho period. Pretty much what it says on the tin.

The CDs are related to the Tokimeki Youen Vampire games for iOS and Android, and use the same characters. In the games you are attending a university and meet the vampire guys there, but in the CDs you meet them at a cafe (maybe you work there?) The series uses the dummy head mic for certain parts of the story.

The first CD will be released on 2013.04.24 and features the yandere Houjou Kureha (CV: Nojima Kenji) and do-S Aran Shuri (CV: Hirakawa Daisuke).

The second CD will be released on 2013.05.29 and features the kuudere Kamiki Sakuya (CV: Suzuki Yuuto) and ore-sama Yakumo Homura (CV: Ono Yuuki).

The third CD will be released on 2013.06.26 and features the tsundere Hinamori Nagi (CV: Masuda Toshiki) and wild type Touya Gai (CV: Tsuda Kenjirou).

The fourth CD will be released on 2013.07.31 and features the older brother type Hiiragi Yuzuru and tough type Munakata Ayato.

And finally the fifth CD will be released on 2013.08.28 and features the delinquent Ichinose Hisoka and butler type Kashiwagi Ibuki.

The seiyuu for the last two CDs haven't been announced yet. On the other hand, the sample tracks for vol. 1 are already online. It is unfortunate that they cut off right where things get interesting xD

Looking at the track list of the first CD there is an opening track, followed by three different scenarios: one where you choose Kureha, one where you choose Shuri, and one where you choose neither (and something tells me this ends in a 3P...). The other CDs will likely follow a similar pattern.

Buying the CDs at different shops gets you different tokuten. Auragame and Stellaworth give you a clearfile or bromide for each CD, but the tokuten for boying all CDs at a specific shop is where it really gets interesting. Buy all CDs at Auragame, Stellaworth or Animate and you can apply for a special drama CD titled "二度目の満月夜 (nidome no mangetsuya, The second full moon night"). The catch? Each shop has a different version, with different characters.

Arcana Famiglia
The series is getting a whole handful of new drama CDs.

The first two are Arcana Famiglia Il dolce Regalo vol.1- rosso- and vol.2 -bianco-, which are drama CD adaptions of the Il dolce Regalo manga. The first CD has Liberta (CV: Fukuyama Jun), Nova (CV: Yonaga Tsubasa), Pace (CV: Sugita Tomokazu), and Dante (CV: Kosugi Juurouta) while the second CD features Debito (CV: Yoshino Hiroyuki), Luka (CV: Nakamura Yuuichi), Jolly (CV: Yusa Kouji) and Ash (CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko).

Felicita (the heroine) isn't voiced in these CDs so that means they are situation CDs. Rosso will be released on 2013.04.24 while Bianco will be released on 2013.05.31.

Following the release of these two CDs are two more CDs: Arcana Famiglia Assortito Vol.1 & 2. Both CDs are a collection of short stories featuring all of the characters. In these CDs Felicita will be voiced by Noto Mamiko. Vol.1 will be released on 2013.07.27 and Vol.2 on 2013.08.28

Nade Nade CD.
なでなで (nadenade) means petting something, and that is exactly what this series is about. Or rather, being petted and comforted by someone. Being patted on your head and told that things will be all right, and maybe even a kiss afterwards, that is the concept of this CD.

In the first CD you end up staying at school after class because of preparations for the school festival, and meet your senpai Hiiragi (CV: Hosoya Yoshimasa). As you promise to meet every week your relationship grows.

There is no official site yet, but there is a twitter account. The CD will be released on 2013.05.24. As this CD is titled "vol.1" it probably means that there will be more CDs to follow, and the description on the animate site hints at it that there will be one with your boss.

It is like the drama CD world is supportive of my Hosoya bias lately~ My wallet is weeping every time it hears his name but my heart (and ears) are overjoyed xD

Gyutto Shite

The second CD has been announced, and it will be voiced by Toriumi Kousuke. His character is called Takamori Souichi, who is a top executive at a large housing manufacturer. He rarely opens up to people, but when offered trust and love he will love that person with all his heart. Usually silent, but always sincere and he does properly express his feelings towards you. He doesn't show any weakness to others, but as a girlfriend you might catch a glimpse of his weaker moments.

Before you started dating he was your boss, so you meet each other at work as well. One of the example situations given was actually secretly hugging at work while no one is at the office (///).

The CD will be released on 2013.04.28.

Issho ni Diet
Good news if you want to continue dieting, because a second Issho ni Diet CD is planned. Taniyama Kisho will be voicing this CD, and his character is actually the same one as the one in the Issho ni Cooking CD that he voiced (your boyfriend, and a musician).

Because he has been making you breakfast every morning, and you've been eating a bit too much of it, you've started to worry about your weight. And when you decided you really need to start doing something about it you decide to start a walking diet together.

The CD is planned for a 2013.05.22 release. Kirishima Sou will draw the cover again, so I'm hoping for another nosebleed inducing cover like the last time xD

OjiPara
Or Ojisan Paradise. Last year Cineria announced this as an April's Fool joke, but they made the image released that time into a shitajiki and promised that if they would sell 100 of them within a year that they would make a CD.

And now that they sold a 100 (thanks to someone buying a whole bunch of them) they are keeping that promise and actually making a Ojisan Paradise CD xDUnknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893545137868214650.post-7963244047639382152013-03-29T13:52:00.000+01:002013-03-29T13:52:00.722+01:00Jinrou -Chaotic Time-

人狼 -chaotic time-

Company: Koepota
Based on: Werewolf (the game)
Released: 2012.09.26

Official site: http://www.koepota.jp/wearwolf/

Jinrou - chaotic time- is based on the Werewolf party game. In the game, everyone is dealt a card which specifies whether they are human or a wolf. The wolves know each other, but the humans only know the number of wolves. During the night phase the wolves 'kill' on of the humans, and during the day everyone debates who should be eliminated in an attempt to kill the wolves. There are several special roles, such as the hunter (who can protect someone), or the fortune teller (who can determine whether someone is a wolf or a human). The goal of game is for each team to try an 'kill' the other team.

This CD uses the rules of the game, but everything is played out like it is a real scenario. The CD is partly narrated by Yuuki (CV: Ono Yuuki), one of the villagers, who tells what happened during the night and gives some background information. The discussions during the day time are like a normal drama. At the end of each day a narrator voice announces the votes for that day.

Right before a large festival, when most of the villagers have left, the remaining villagers are attacked by 3 werewolves who have found their way into their midst. Due to a heavy rainstorm that lasts several days they can't get any help from outside, and so they eventually decide to choose one person to execute each day by majority vote, in the hope that they manage to kill the wolves that way.

This strategy seems like a good plan, until two characters claim that they are the fortune teller, which means that one of them is an imposter. This causes the villagers to distrust each other more and more, and each day the discussions on who to execute grow more fierce.

To summarize the entire situation:

There are 14 people at the start of the story: Yuuki, Morison, Layle,
Arona, Mei, Ani, Sofia, Sasha, Stacy, Fan, Makandel, Irene, Eris, and
Kurt.

The village is attacked by three werewolves, who kill one person each night.

To eliminate the wolves the villagers decide to sacrifice the person
they think is most suspicious during the day. This is done by voting,
and the person chosen is killed with a poison.

There are several
special roles: two associates (two villagers who know one another and
that they are innocent), one maniac (who is human but assists the
wolves), one fortune teller (who can tell whether a person is a wolf or
human, although only one person each day. If the person chosen is the Youko, he or she dies), one psychic (who can tell whether the person
executed the previous day was human or a wolf), and one hunter (who can
protect someone from being killed), and one Youko (fox spirit), who wins when still alive at the end of the game)

When I started listening I was surprised that the CD started with the second day; you'll have to read the events of the first day one the official site. This means that you are introduced to a lot of characters at once, and at times it was a bit hard to keep track of all of them. Mainly because
14 people is a lot, and also because some characters hardly speak in the
beginning.

The bulk of this drama is mainly the discussions between the different characters. The discussions are understandably emotional at times, and I found myself thinking with everyone on who should be trusted or not.

The solution is finally revealed during the cast call, where all the seiyuu state their character name and role. This makes the cast call the most important track in the entire CD, and I'm pretty sure I've never listened to one this attentively. It also made me flail in despair when I discovered some characters where something different from what I thought.

The CD comes with a code that can be used to log in to the official site, so that you can listen to the 'night part' in which the three wolves discuss who they will attack that night. It is obviously best to listen to this after you have heard the main drama, otherwise most of the suspense will be gone. While the night part was certainly interesting because it shows that the wolves also value each other, the writing was nowhere near as good as that of the main drama.

Conclusion:
I've never played werewolf myself, but at least in drama CD for it was very interesting to listen to. You do need to pay a lot of attention while listening though, or you miss things and with that the understanding of why the characters act in a certain way. I know of at least one other drama CD which uses werewolf as a motif: Doubt (which is based on the manga of the same name). Although that series is a lot more bloody (and creepy thanks to some very disturbing rabbit masks) and I am curious how that CD is.
Yes it has been a while since I reviewed anything from this series, almost half a year actually. I kept wanting to go back to it but somehow never really got to it. Until now that is.

Anata ga Ofuro de Noboseru CD is a series that
has personified various onsen from all over Japan. By using this CD
(which stands for "Compact Dream") the personified spirit of an onsen
appears in your bathroom, and takes a bath together with you. This fourth CD features Dougo Onsen and is Voiced by Kaji Yuki.

As always the Guide (CV: Fujiwara Keiji) does the introduction and hands you a 'CD' (Compact Dream) and gives you the advice to "pause and take a deep breath in case things
become too much".

When you use the 'CD' Dougo makes a super genki entrance, appearing fully clothed in the middle of your bath and splashing water all over the place. He calls you "onee-chan" the entire CD and he has a somewhat childish personality, although he occasionally says some rather...ahum, provocative things.

After his super genki entrance he notices that you are somewhat down and seem to have a headache, so he proposes to take a bath together so that you can relax. You first refuse to enter the bath again because you are embarrassed so he promises to close his eyes (and consequently stumbles over some of the things in the bathroom).

He insist on helping you wash yourself, but because he can't see what he is doing he tells you to "take his hand and guide him". These are exactly the kind of things Dougo at times says with that cute childish voice of his while you can't help but wonder what he actually thinks. Somewhere halfway through he asks you whether he can kiss you, and you splash water in his face (at which point he opens his eyes and discovers that you were still wearing a towel xD).

His counting track is super cute. He starts really genki but gets notably tired the longer he counts. Apparently he wasn't in the bath with you, because at the end of the count he jumps into the bath.

After you've been in the bath he offers to wash your hair, and summons a shampoo hat. Which you -obviously- refuse to wear. Dougo notices that you seem down again and pretends to have shampoo in his eye to lure you close so that he can hug you (sneaky little kid). You end up washing your own hair, but he insists on washing it so he washes it a second time.

While applying conditioner to your hair he once again mentions that you seem down, and that your eyes are red. While he acted somewhat childish before, he shows a more reliable side here. When it is time for him to go you yourself are actually the one to want him to stay and to kiss him first.

After the main part there is a short guide of the onsen they personified in the CD. The Guide and Dougo introduce several things, including that you can apparently warm up mikan (tangerines) in the water and eat them. I honestly never thought of that but it seems interesting. Dougo also tells the Guide not to reveal his age, because otherwise you would get mad at him for pretending to be so young.

Kaji Yuuki his cast talk is, as opposed to his character, pretty calm. He simply answers the usual questions and that's it: Whether there is an item he uses in his
daily 'ofuro (bath) life' (Books, or anything to read),
Whether he washes his head or body first (Head first, because of gravity xD), Whether he likes his
bath hot or more lukewarm (not really lukewarm but after the water has cooled a bit).

Conclusion:
Dougo is mainly just cute, but his switch to more being more serious really tugged at my heartstrings. He is never going to be my favourite in the series but it was a nice CD none the less.
