Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito ~Futari no Osananajimi ni Kokuhakusareta~

雪白学園のゆかいな人々 双子の幼なじみに告白されました

Company: Mujina
Based on: Original
Released: 2010.11.10

Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito is a series of drama CD's, loosely connected by taking place at the same school and some recurring characters. This time the story is about the heroine (meaning the listener) being confessed two by her two childhood friends. Who just happen to be twins. Both of them are voiced by Suzuki Tatsuhisa

The twins in question are Nakatani Kyou (the older one), and Niko (the younger one). While they look similar they, of course, have completely different personalities. Kyou is good at studying, a member of the kendo club, calm, and kind. While Niko doesn't like studying, works part-time as a model, tends to speak before he thinks, and is therefore often very blunt.

The CD doesn't start with you suddenly being confessed to though. It actually starts with Niko just being dumped by yet another girlfriend because "he was different than she thought". The heroine and Kyou listen to his complaints, when Kyou notices that she doesn't feel well and asks whether she wants to go to the infirmary. Niko of course completely misses the point.

When Niko once again is going on about how unpopular you are, you get incredibly angry. It turns out that you just confessed to a senpai that you liked, but were turned down pretty harsh. And so your childhood friends decide to take revenge for you. (It is pretty amazing that the normally calm Kyou agrees to solve things with violence).

The next day you refuse to go to school, so both them try to get you out of bed in their own way. Niko is obviously trying to cheer you up, but fails to do so horribly thanks to his aweful wording. When he ultimately fails to drag you out of your room, it is Kyou his turn to try. Of course he simply talks to you in a calm and kind manner, even telling you that you don't have to go today, and manages to get you to go to school.

While walking home with you some days later, Niko -more in the spur of the moment- confesses his love to you. Of course, you are confused and don't know what to answer. When Kyou hears this he gets angry, after all he never confessed to you because he was afraid of changing the relationship between the three of you. But now that Niko has confessed, he does so too.

The last three tracks are the different endings, one where Niko becomes your boyfriend, one for Kyou, and one where the three of you remain friends (and they both try to prove they are the best choice). All three of them are different versions of you going -or not going- to a summer festival. In Nico his track you remain ate home playing games, in Kyou his version you visit the festival together, and in the 3P version all three of you go to the festival.

This is the first more serious CD in this series. You could argue that the second one (Dogeza-sensei) was taking the serious route as well, except that his constant dogeza actions can't really be taken serious. The first one was just awesome crack.

I liked that there is actually some sort of a story leading up to the confessions. You are not just confessed to out of the blue, but more than half of the CD is actually leading up to the confessions. This sort of makes you familiar with the setting. It was also fun to hear that the heroine is more of a tomboy.

While I found Niko more annoying in the first part of the CD, I liked his boyfriend track more than Kyou's. Kyou is the perfect boyfriend, he just doesn't know how to express his feelings too well, but that also makes him a bit boring. Niko was more fun, although I'm pretty sure I would get annoyed at his personality after a while (but in the CD, it is OK).

The 3P ending was more humorous than the rest of the CD. Kyou and Niko are mostly arguing among themselves over you, while you act all oblivious and simply enjoy the festival. The moment where they both try to change their character is brilliant though, it is an overload of sweet words.

Masao once again makes an appearance, this time working in the school shop, and acting like a gossiping middle aged woman. No-one even remarks on him being normal xD

Conclusion:
I both like the way your friendship worked before the confessions, and the dates afterwards. You are obviously note used to being a couple yet, and that is kind of cute to hear. Personally I like the crack in the earlier CD's better, but this proves that Mujina does a good job at making more serious ones as well.

Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito ~Toshiue Kareshi. Yanwari S no Ani Hen~

雪白学園のゆかいな人々 ~年上彼氏。 やんわりSの兄編~

Company: Mujina
Based on: Original
Released: 2012.01.25

Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito is a series of  drama CD's, loosely connected by taking place at the same school and some recurring characters. This time the focus is on the brothers Mukai Yukihisa (the younger one) and Mukai Tatsuhisa (the older one). Both are voiced by Tachibana Shinnosuke in this CD

Toshiue Kareshi shares it's setting with another CD: Toshishita Kareshi. While this one centres on the older brother, that one centres on the younger brother. You can think of the two CD's as parallel worlds, the setting is the same but things are slightly different.

The story begins with you (the listener) confessing your love to Tatsuhisa, who is your teacher, a month before you graduate high school.  Tatsuhisa says that he can only answer your question from his position as a teacher at this moment, so he promises to tell you his answer the day after your graduation - when you are no longer teacher and student.

From then we skip back in time, 4 years before now, when Tatsuhisa first became your tutor. Tatsuhisa describes how your relation develops through the years. You enter Yukishiro Gakuen because Tatsuhisa becomes a teacher there, and enter the astronomy club. You've had an interest in astronomy for a while, but the fact that Tatsuhisa is the consultant for the club probably helped a lot.

From there on you spend your days with Tatsuhisa, and Yukihisa who in turn followed you to Yukishiro Gakuen (he is one year younger) and joined the astronomy club as well. There are a few scenes from each year, leading back to the 'now' in the storyline. Which is where the plot twists are waiting.

I has listened to Toshishita kareshi first, and somehow expected the scenario from that CD to be reversed, but that is not the case. This is an entirely different story, but using the same characters. Interesting enough, that means that Yukihisa his brother complex doesn't show up either, that is something he kept entirely to himself, so you never get to see that side here.

Tatsuhisa his attitude toward you is certainly ambivalent. On the one hand he treats you with care, on the other hand he can also act like an absolute a$$. He never reproaches your advances, but doesn't try to stop you either. This together with the plot twists at the end really had me wondering how the CD would end. In case you are now wondering, it ends with an onsen trip. Be sure to look forward to it.

Azumi and Masao also make another appearance. Azumi his glasses obsession is back in full force, which made me happy. One day he really needs his own CD. Which will be all about glasses, of course.

Conclusion:
Once again this is more serious. Then again, I haven't listened to the later entries in the series yet, so I'm not sure whether it was already heading in a more serious direction (it started out as complete crack). As much as I usually like S characters, I didn't really like Tatsuhisa though. But the plot twists at the end made this story for me. I really didn't see it coming. And now, you are left to wonder what happens. So go and listen!

Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito ~Toshishita Kareshi~

年下彼氏。 ツンでヤンデレの弟編

Company: Mujina
Based on: Original
Released: 2012.01.25

Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito is a series of  drama CD's, loosely connected by taking place at the same school and some recurring characters. This time the focus is on the brothers Mukai Yukihisa (the younger one) and Mukai Tatsuhisa (the older one). Both are voiced by Sakurai Takahiro in this CD

Toshishita Kareshi shares it's setting with another CD: Toshiue Kareshi. While this one centres on the younger brother, that one centres on the older brother. You can think of the two CD's as parallel worlds, the setting is the same but things are slightly different.

You (the listener) and the one year younger Yukihisa have been dating for over a year now. You're both in the same school, and both in the astronomy club. Coincidently (not really) Tatsuhisa is a math teacher at your school, and the consultant for the astronomy club. While his friends often tease Yukihisa about how far he has gone with his girlfriend, the truth is that they haven't even held hands yet. But he is planning to change all that at the yearly astronomy club camp.

But things end up very differently. The bus in which they where on their way crashes. Everybody survives with small injuries, except for Tatsuhisa who ends up in a coma. And while his body is in a coma, his consciousness ends up inside of Yukihisa his head.

Yukihisa is of course less then happy about this, for more then one reason. All his life he felt like he has been in his perfect brother's shadow, and now he has the person in question inside his head. And seeing the strongheaded Yukihisa create all kinds of problems with his girlfriend, Tatsuhisa at some point decides to (temporary) take over his little brother his body to solve certain things....

Much of this drama focusses on Yukihisa his complex towards his brother. That also makes this drama a surprisingly serious one. And when I say serious, I do mean serious. Admittingly, Yukihisa doesn't really have it easy either. All you talk about when you see him is Tatsuhisa, so you can't really blame him for suspecting that you're in love with his brother either. Then again, Yukihisa isn't the most sensitive person either.

My first thought when hearing him was "so cuuuute". But after a few lines you discover that he really is a bit of an immature brat, and an incredible tsundere. I don't think you should call him yandere like in the title though. True, he does want to have you to himself, but within normal parameters and most of this comes from him feeling threatened by the presence of his brother.

Conclusion:
A surprisingly serious entry to the series, but a good CD non the less. Yukihisa his complex can get a bit annoying, but more then that I sympathize with him. He does have one of the best closing lines ever though.

Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito ~Dogeza Sensei, Sono Aii~

雪白学園のゆかいな人々 ~土下座先生、その愛~

Company:
Mujina
Based on: Original
Released: 2010.10.06
Official Site: http://mujina.kkjinnai.co.jp/index.html

Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito is a series of loosely connected drama CD's by taking place at the same school and some recurring characters. Each drama CD features a rather eccentric student (or in this case, teacher) and his situation. This CD is all about Okita Yuuki (CV:Itou Kentarou) who's nickname is "dogeza sensei" due to his tendency to apologise with a dogeza.

The CD switches between scenes from Okita his life (always ending in an dogeza, or at least a very thorough apology) and his interactions with Toukai Azumi (CV: Sakuragi Akito) and Kawaguchi Masao (CV: Furukawa Tetsuto).

Okita is planning to propose to his girlfriend, they have been dating for 10 years now. Azumi has somehow discovered his plan, and intends to use it to blackmail him into participating in the play that the student council has planned for the school festival. Azumi begins with telling several things from our dogeza sensei his past, some of which are enacted others are not.

Most of the scenes from Okita his life however are scenes together with his girlfriend (read: you). Especially the propose scene (where he forgot to mention that the ring was an engagement ring) and when he afterwards goes to his girlfriend her house to ask for her hand in marriage and gets beaten up by her father were just too funny. In between all of this there is also a track where Okita gives a little lecture on dogeza.

Where the first CD from the series was complete crack, this one is slightly more serious. Of course there is still enough hilarity (someone who tends to overreact and make a dogeza in the weirdest situations is funny no matter what). Azumi and Masao are a bit more in the background this time. I had expected Azumi his glasses fetish to be more prominent (considering the fact that Okita has glasses) but save for one remark it isn't even mentioned.

On te other hand it feels more like a situation CD this time, with all the scenes between Okita and yourself. Even if he tends to make a dogeza at least once in each one xD

Conclusion:
Less crack, more situation CD, but still funny. Personally I hoped for more crack, but I still enjoyed listening to this a lot. On to the next!!

Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito ~Kaichou wa Imouta ga Suki~

雪白学園のゆかいな人々 ~生徒会長は妹が好き~

Company: Mujina
Based on: Original
Released: 2010.09.15

Yukishiro Gakuen no Yukai na Hitobito is a series of loosely connected drama CD's by taking place at the same school and some recurring characters. Each drama CD features a rather eccentric student and his situation. This first CD features the student council president, who loves his little sister (read: you) a bit too much.

Like the track title promises, the first track immediately starts with Kagami Shuu (CV: Sugita Tomokazu) declaring his love for his little sister. Of course, as an older brother, not in a sexual way. According to him anyway.

In the following tracks Shuu keeps doting on and expressing his love for his little sister in various situations: waking her up, walking to school, changing the rules of the school just so that he can be with his little sister during the school festival, while baking cake, while shopping, while skating. In every situation Shuu acts like a lovestruck little sister obsessed idiot. And it is hilarious.

Shuu has two friends: Toukai Azumi (CV: Sakuragi Akito) who always places number two on everything (on purpose) and loves glasses a bit too much. And Kawaguchi Masao (CV: Furukawa Tetsuto) who is normal and generic in every way and for some reason is always told off for that.

While the normal tracks are already complete crack there are three that are even more chaos. Each character has a dream of the three of them doing something weird. Shuu and Azumi have a dream of them being Power Rangers, while Masao dreams of them in an rpg setting, turning those tracks into in hilarious parodies. Of course Shuu still loves his sister too much, even in those dreams.

And in case you can't get enough of Shuu his infatuation with his sister, there are three (short) tracks full of him saying lovestruck and idiotic things to his little sister.

Shuu acting like a lovestruck siscon is already hilarious, but when the other two come in to the conversation it gets even better. In between all of the crack there are also random references to well known anime. Like Shuu saying far to specific that 'his sister doesn't own a black note and doesn't kill people' (death note) or Azumi outright saying that he wants the role of Legolas if they are going to link this to the Lord of the Rings. Among other things.

Conclusion:
This is pure crack. At it's best. I don't think there is a single serious sentence in this entire CD. Azumi and Masao are returning characters, and I'm looking forward to hearing more of them. I would have loved to hear a cast talk for this, but sadly there is no such thing.
