December News Post Vol.1

And then, out of nowhere, a news post!!! :D

I will not say it is weekly or anything, but for now it is here. And hopefully more will follow. The tiny numbers next to a series title link to tumblr posts with related translations.


Kyuuketsuki Darling
The Kyuuketsuki Darling website updated with a banner that leads to a blog post with info about the upcoming fandisks. Yes, Fandisks. Three of them are planned for now, to be released somewhere in spring 2014, and they are a sort of epilogue or after story to the original CDs.

- Vol.1: Remi Barrier (CV; Nakai Kazuya) & Tsukioka Haruki (CV: Kimura Ryouhei)
- Vol.2: William Edwards (CV: Yoshino Hiroyuki) & Azer Aslan (CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko)
- Vol.3: Katagiri Ryuuji (CV: Ono Yuuki) & Sakuraba Ryuuto (CV: Taniyama Kishou)

The Marine Entertainment website also lists "others" for each CD, so maybe more characters will appear in each CD, but it is safe to say that the two listed will be the main focus.



Fantasy Kareshi ~Dive into Fairytale~ [1][2]
Animate and Marine Entertainment are teaming up for another collaboration (their first one was Risou Kareshi). This time you become the heroine of a well known fairytale, and for each fairytale there are two characters you can fall in love with.

In the Peter Pan story you become Wendy, and you can choose between Peter and Captain Hook. In Red Riding Hood you become the titular Little Red Riding Hood, and you can choose between the Hunter (Rolan) and the Wolf (Ruu? Lou?), and finally in Hansel and Gretel you become Gretel, and you can choose between Hansel and the Magician. They turned Hansel into your half brother for this series (and the witch into a male magician). 6 CD's have been planned for now, so probably one for each character.

The seiyuu for this series have already been decided; Oosaka Ryouta, Ono Yuuki, Shimono Hiro, Suwabe Junichi, Taniyama Kishou, and Toriumi Kousuke.

But who will voice which character is up to us to decide! Animate and Marine entertainment are currently running an survey where you can choose who will voice which role. The web version can be found here. I translated all of the character descriptions in case you want to consider those while voting. Details about the voting process are also in that post.

The results of the survey will be posted somewhere in February next year, so I am guessing the releases will start several months after that. It is a long wait, but probably worth it considering that we get a say in which role the seiyuu will voice.

Weekly News Post

This week somehow passed without a single review.... Meanwhile Gakken just keeps releasing things!!! How the... too many releases guys!! But lets begin with the news that I discovered last week but that got left out of the news post due to post length restrictions:



Oujisama Ouritsu Gakuen
The series is getting a second season, titled Re:Fairy Tale, which takes place 25 years after the original one. We get a new set of princes based on the same fairytales, although it looks like they are keeping the same seiyuu for the same fairytale. They are starting with the 2nd year students again, although the roles have been switched around a bit.

Ibaraki Sou (CV: Terashima Takuma), who is based on Sleeping Beauty, Kanzaki Haru (CV: Suzumura Kenichi) who is based on The Princess and the Frog, and Shirase Yukiya (CV: Toriumi Kousuke) who is based on Snow White are the first ones to get a CD, with Ibaraki his CD being released on 2013.06.15. All three seiyuu are listed as cast for the first CD, so this probably means the CDs will follow the same pattern as the first series, with scenes with all three of them and scenes with just you and your prince charming.

As you can see they have taken one prince from each year in the first series and put those together. You might also have noticed that their last names are still similar to the the princes from the first series, which makes me wonder whether these are the 'children' of you x your prince charming of choice from the first series (if they are this gives me all kinds of complicated feelings).

Team You-Tak 
Ono Yuuki and Eguchi Takuya have paired up as a team to make several drama CDs and a radio show a while ago. Their first drama CD was released February last year, but they are releasing new stuff again. Or well, releasing them in stores, because both of them were already sold at events. 

The first one is ゆーたくの囁きCD (yuutaku no sasayaki CD). Apparently they asked the audience at their first event to write down sentences that they would like You-Tak to read, but didn't get the chance to actually do this during the event. And so these have been recorded are are now released on a CD. According to Ono Yuuki his blog the CD contains both the Ono Yuuki versions and Eguchi Takuya version of almost 100 sentences, both sweet ones and pretty mean ones.

The second CD is 恋チョイ！～大学生編～ (koichoi ~daigakusei hen~, Koi Choi (Love Choice) ~University Student Chapter~), which is a situation CD in which you get to choose between 4 characters who have all fallen in love with you. You can choose your own favourite by choosing which tracks to listen. I am guessing there is a general story line, after which you can choose which guy you like most. Of course both Ono Yuuki and Eguchi Takuya voice a character, and they are joined by Kimura Ryouhei and Akabane Kenji.

Both CDs will be released on 2013.04.24.

End of the Year News Post Part 2

Mikkai
The main visual for the third Mikkai CD is up on the official site. The character for the third CD is Sagara Misaki (CV: Nojima Kenji) who is a high school teacher. He doesn't stand out much, and seems kind but this is actually due to the fact that he doesn't have much interest in the people around him. The CD is planned for a 2013.02.22 release.


Momo&Grapes
Multiple new releases from MomoGre are on the way.

In Februari another CD with readings of Miyazawa Kenji his stories will be released. The CD includes several of his stories, each read by a different seiyuu: Kamiya Hiroshi reads Chuumon no Ooi Ryouriten (the restaurant of many orders), Nakai Kazuya reads Neko no Jimusho (The Cat's Office) and Ame ni mo Makezu Kaze ni mo Makezu (Be not Defeated by the Rain), and Ishida Akira reads Hokushuu Shougun to Sanninkyoudai no Isha (The Northern Shougun and the Three Doctor Brothers)

In March a new addition to their Men's Only series will be released: this time they are doing an adaption of the Genji Monogatari. The cast list is as follows Hikaru Genji (CV: Morikawa Toshiyuki), Fujitsubo (CV: Kishio Daisuke), Yugao (CV: Takeuchi Ken), Aoi (Toriumi Kousuke), Rokujou (CV: Nakai Kazuya), Murasaki (CV: Tachibana Shinnosuke), Oborotsukiyo (CV: Kakihara Tetsuya), Tou no Chuujou (CV: Miyauchi Atsushi). This looks like an awesome cast and I am looking forward to everyone playing the female parts, but I keep imagining Genji like he is in the Oujisama (warai) series...

Anata wo Misshitsu de Torishirabe CD
A preview for the first CD has been uploaded at the official blog. Sounds like this is going to be quite the interrogation.  The CD will be out later this month on the 26th.


10nen Hatsukoi

A preview for the 10nen Hatsukoi Christmas Carol CD is up on youtube. It seems like the start of the story. Sounds like it is going to be a fun story and like I should finally listen to the actual series. Also, those final messages *kyaaaa*.




Ikitsukai
A preview for the first Ikitsukai has been uploaded on animate TV. For your information, this is a scene in the sauna. But the overload of heavy breathing and BL-interpretable lines would make you think it is something else (which is exactly their intent, of course). I was nearly dying of giggles and laughter while listening to this. The fact that it is recorded with the dummy head mic makes it all the more deadly.

Sasayaki Micchaku

The voice samples and cover for Sasayaki Micchaku have been uploaded tot the official site. The first sample has Tsukumo (CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko) starting his fortune telling. As expected, Tsukumo sounds really cute. The second voice sample is one of the stories he tells you. You seem to be doing overwork together with a kouhai, who obviously likes you. The CD will be released on 2012.11.14.


Fujoshi / Otome no Mikata

This time the Fuoshi and Otome no Mikata CDs are combined into one: Fujoshi Shitsuji x Otome Shitsuji mixes the characters from both series into two groups. The first group consists of Akagi Eichi (CV: Sakurai Takahiro), Kikawa Miki (CV: Ishida Akira), Midoriyama Shion (CV: Okiayu Ryoutarou), Kagami Homura (CV: Namikawa Daisuke), Kinjoun Kira (? CV: Suzuki Tasuhisa), and Kino Makoto (?? CV: Maeno Tomoaki) are grouped together for a Christmas themed CD that will be released on 2012.11.30 and will be on presale at the animate girls festival.

Aoi Ryuuji (CV: Toriumi Kousuke), Kurosaki Gorou (CV: Yusa Kouji), Goshirakawa (CV: Kondo Takashi), Mizuki Jun (? Morita Masakaza), Toki Riku (? CV: Suwabe Junichi), Yukimura Sei (? Shimono Hiro) are grouped together for a valentine CD that is planned for 2013.01.25

If you buy both CDs at animate you can get a special CD in which all 12 butlers interact. Sounds like total chaos, but definitely worth it.

*I haven't listened to the Otome no Mikata CDs yet, and I can't find the official readings for the names of those characters so excuse any mistakes. Also, if Maeno his character is really called Kino Makoto I will never stop laughing, I just chose this reading because out of all the possibilities it is the one that amuses me most.

News (Part 4)

I thought that I could finish all the news in the last post, obviously not. With this I think we're completely up to date again though. Enjoy the last part of the news, I'm sure that there are several interesting items for everyone!


RekiSing

I somehow keep forgetting that this projects exists. Either way, In RekiSing various famous historical characters end up in our time, and for some reason end up working as idols. It is probably best not to ask to many questions. The two that just made a time-slip to the present are Takechi Hanpeita (CV: Hatano Wataru) and Okada Izou (CV: Shimono Hiro). For some reason Sakamoto Ryouma (CV: Ono Daisuke) was already walking around in the present, and he is working as a music producer. He is being supported by his manager Iwasaki Toratarou (CV: Ishida Akira) who is a fan of Ryouma since he was working as an idol himself.

The first CD will go on sale on 2012.09.05 (although it is on pre-sale in a few shops starting yesterday)

News Post (part 2)

Kareshi Igai

Look, a Kareshi Igai 4 cover! I hope you had a good reason for leaving him in the first place, because that cover looks pretty tasty to me. Judging by the amount of tracks titled "Haru's House" you are visting his place quite a lot in this CD... Like mentioned before the CD is voiced by Miki Shinichirou, and will be released on 2012.09.28


Cineria
Meanwhile an extra icon has appeared on the official Cineria site. The new icon says "自由研究" (jiyuu kenkyuu, "independent research"), but you can't click on it yet and if you mouse over it changes into 'under construction'. On their blog they tease that they will reveal more details soon. They also tease a bit about the icon below that, which has been 'under construction' ever since the site opened.

Weekly News Post

Hello there! Today’s news post comes with a few side notes. Next week there won’t be a news post because I am on a short vacation to Italy. I will do my best to make a news post in the weekend of 21-22 July but I can’t promise anything...

Because I’ll be busy with preparations for my second vacation: 4 weeks of Japan!! Which means that there won’t be any news posts from July 28 till August 18-ish, nor will I be able to reply to any comments or post anything on tumblr because I will be busy traveling around Japan trying to meet friends and bankrupting myself by buying lots of games and CD’s. (Which I won't be able to play or listen to until I get back, haha)

Because I already had an involuntary hiatus 2 months ago, I’m trying to keep the blog active during that time. But that means all posts will be queued so that they will post automatically. I will have to apologise for any spelling or grammar mistakes during that time. I’m currently working fulltime to be able to afford all of this, and I simply don’t have the time (or energy) to check them as thoroughly as I usually do.

And now, on to the actual news!!


Oujisama (warai)

I already interpreted the zadankai in the last CD as a confirmation that there would be more releases, and while they might be a little bit different from what I expected my wish has been fulfilled!!

Starting October 2012 three new CDs titled “Oujisama (warai) Date CD” will be released. There are now nine princes, so I’m guessing there will be three princes for each CD. Of course, as this is Oujisama (warai) that we are dealing with I doubt the CDs will be very serious, but just imagine dating some of them. This is going to be hilarious. More info will be released soon on the official site.

Soine Hitsuji CD
a voice sample for Yasuomi is now up on the official site. The voice sample begins like a normal Shuukan Soine CD, but from what he says I'm assuming that he was already counting sheep for you. The way he takes of his glasses, saying that they are "in the way" is really cute too. Go listen to it!!


Fujoshi no Escort
After Fujoshi no Totsugikata and Fujoshi no Mikata we now  get Fujoshi no Escort In these CD's two of the butlers will escort you. Exactly what that means is still a bit unclear to me though. Except, of course, more hilarious references and so called 'solutions' to all your fujoshi problems. Three CD's are planned, the first one wil feature Midoriyama and Kurosaki and will be released on 2012.07.25, the second one will feature Goshirokawa and Kikawa and will be released on 2012.08.22, and the third one will feature Akagi and Aoi and will be released in September 2012 (no exact date yet). Buy all three CD's, and you can apply for the bonus CD: a fujoshi dictionary CD by all six butlers.
