Micchacku CD More
The Sasayaki Micchaku Series continues! But under a different name.

The continuation of the series is called Micchaku CD More. The concept this time is that the main guy in each CD wants to get closer to you, but is not sure how to do this. Of course the dummy head mic is also back, it wouldn't be a 'micchaku' (close contact) CD without it.

Four CDs have been planned for now;
- vol.1 とある国の王様の場合
(to aru kuni no ousama no baai, the case of a certain country’s king)
- vol.2 とある名家の執事の場合
(to aru meika no shitsuji no baai, the case of a certain distinguished family their butler)
- vol.3 とあるカメラマンの場合
(to are kameraman no baai, the case of a certain camera man)
- vol.4 とあるピアニストの場合
(to aru pianisuto no baai, the case of a certain pianist)

No release date or seiyuu have been announced yet, but the website mentions ”spring 2014” for the releases. If you buy all of the CDs you can get a special disk with cast comments by all of the seiyuu.




Aroma na Kareshi

This series always remains silent, and then it suddenly ninja-announces the next CD, haha.

The theme scent for the 7th CD in the series is 'rosewood', and your boyfriend this time is Yahara Sou (CV: Sakurai Takahiro). Sou is the owner of the flowershop and arrangement atelier where you work, and is so popular that it is near impossible to get a reservation for one of his classes. You are secretly dating, but keeping this a secret from all of the customers.

The CD is planned for a 2014.04.25 release.

News Post -Part 1-

Writing reviews and the news post on the go is a lot harder than I imagined. Even though I have my actual laptop and my iPad with me, finding the time to edit my random thoughts and ramblings into a properly formatted review is pretty hard.




Aroma na Kareshi
Now that vol.4 is out the next one has been announced through a digital flyer. The next character is the 17year old Kazu Watanuki (CV: Shimono Hiro) and his scent is vanilla. His family owns a cake shop and he loves making sweets, his dream is to become a patissier. He has a bright personality and is popular amongst both girls and guys.


Anata ga Ofuro de Noboseru
No new CD news, but an event. On 2013.03.02-03 there will be an event in the Orange Gallery in Ikebukuro displaying art from the series, including yet unpublished rough sketches and art made especially for this exhibit. The event is completely free, so if anyone happens to be in Tokyo during this time go and take a look (^-^) they will be selling the CDs and goods at the even as well. Sasayaki Micchaku

The official page for vol.5 is now online. Hosoya Yoshimasa his character is indeed called Chikasugi Taisuke (I almost guessed it right! I feel all accomplished now). The top of the page also reveals that the first press limited edition will have a free talk recorded with the dummy head mic as a bonus. The CD will be released on 2013.03.27.





Bungou Series

Looking at the titles for the third and fourth CDs it seems like they will be some sort of spin-off series to the main series. The third CD is titled 新作第1弾「不良文豪とホスト」 (shinsaku dai ikkan "furyou bungou to hosuto", New Work Vol.1 "The delinquent literary master and the Host") while the fourth CD is titled 新作第2弾「文豪の神様」 (shinsaku dai nikan "bungou to kamisama", New Work Vol.2 "The God of the literary master[s]"). 'Shinsaku' means something like 'new work' or 'latest work'.

The cover for the third CD has been released (the image to the right) as well as the information that Ono Daisuke will be joining the cast in the forth CD, playing the role of the writer Shiga Naoya. The CDs are planned for  2013.03.29 and 2013.05.?? releases.


Toubousha / 42gami
In celebration of the upcoming new releases of the Toubousha and 42gami series there will be a nico nico live broadcast with Morita Masakazu and Kimura Ryouta in which the two seiyuu will announce more info about both new CDs, as well as answer various questions from the listeners The broadcast is called "Toubousha 42 minutes" and will be available for one week starting 2013.01.24 (today)

The titles for the two upcoming CDs are already known: Toubousha Vol.3 Haruto, and 42gami Vol.3 Xylophone ~The End - The Last Love~ and will be voiced by Ishida Akira. If you go to TwoFive their official site you can already see rough sketches of the two characters. Both CDs are planned for a 2013.03.27 release.


Kindan Vanmpire

The official site has updated with the details on the 6th CD. The cover image as well as the tracklist are now online. The character this time is Alexander von Weiseheldenburg (CV: Tsuda Kenjirou). This time the theme language for the tracklist seems to be latin. (Considering that his name is Alexander, shouldn't thay have picked Greek instead?) The CD will be released on 2013.02.13, just before valentine (^-^)



Meganubu
The official site has been closed. The staff thanks everyone for their support over the last year, and say that 'hope to meet again somewhere'. I guess this means no more Meganebu, but it does look like they are moving on to a new project.

Weekly News Post

Shinsengumi Mokuhiroku Wasurenagusa
The much awaited third voice sample is up. Hijikata seems to be calmly enjoying himself, while no doubt doing a lot of things to you. Only a few more days until the release, hohoho.


Mikkai
Details about the second CD are up on the site. Mizuki Keita (CV: Ono Yuuki) works as an idol. He is a kind person who can't leave people in trouble to their own, but because he acts like a cool type on stage everyone around him and his fans think that is his actual personality. The CD is planned for a 2013.01.25 release. I really love the main visual btw. 


Sasayaki Micchaku
The series continues with vol.5 養護教諭・近杉泰助の保健日誌 (yougokyouyu chikasugi taisuke no hoken nikki, Health Teacher Chikadugi Taisuke (?) his Health Journal). I am completely uncertain about how to read his name because this series has rather original readings at times, but up to now all the names were puns and 'Chikasugi' could also mean "too close" which fits the pattern of the names up to now.

Either way, he is voiced by Hosoya Yoshimasa, and the setting is that he is the school nurse at the school you are going to. While you visit him he tells you all sorts of stories, and one day your relationship might even change from teacher-student to something more...?! The CD is planned for a 2013.03.27 release.

News (Part 4)

I thought that I could finish all the news in the last post, obviously not. With this I think we're completely up to date again though. Enjoy the last part of the news, I'm sure that there are several interesting items for everyone!


RekiSing

I somehow keep forgetting that this projects exists. Either way, In RekiSing various famous historical characters end up in our time, and for some reason end up working as idols. It is probably best not to ask to many questions. The two that just made a time-slip to the present are Takechi Hanpeita (CV: Hatano Wataru) and Okada Izou (CV: Shimono Hiro). For some reason Sakamoto Ryouma (CV: Ono Daisuke) was already walking around in the present, and he is working as a music producer. He is being supported by his manager Iwasaki Toratarou (CV: Ishida Akira) who is a fan of Ryouma since he was working as an idol himself.

The first CD will go on sale on 2012.09.05 (although it is on pre-sale in a few shops starting yesterday)

Shinsengumi Mokuhiroku Wasurenagusa
Rejet is working on something new: 新撰組黙秘録勿忘草 (Shinsengumi Mokuhiroku Wasurengusa, Shinesengumi Secret Files Forget-me-not, after this simply Wasurenagusa) is a series of situation CD's based on the Shinsengumi and the concept "what if I could have been there". The series will use the Dummy Head Mic.

6CD's have been planned for now: Saito Hajime (CV: Takahashi Naozumi) on 2012.07.25, Okita Souji (Image to the right, CV: Suzuku Tatsuhisa) on 2012.08.29, Kondou Isame (CV: Inoue Kazuhiko) on 2012.09.26, Toudou Heisuke (CV: Shimono Hiro) on 2012.10.31, Hijikata Toshizou (CV: Hosoya Yoshimasa) on 2012.11.28, and finally Yamazki Susumu (CV: Morikawa Toshiyuki) on 2012.12.26.

With each CD comes a ticket, if you buy all 6 you can apply for a special drama CD which has all of the characters interacting with each other. So far this seems to be a drama CD only series, but you never know what Rejet has planned for us...



Ojisama Senka
The cast for Ojisama Senka vol. 5 and 6 have been announced. Vol.5 will have Genda Tesshou, Hamada Kenji, and Tobita Nobuo. Vol.6 will have Ishizuka Unshou, Ebara Masashi, and Touichi Hiroki. The titles for both vol aren't final yet, but for now they are titled "itsumo no tokoro de" and "escape".

When the cast for vol.5 was announced it first said that it would be Hayami Shou instead of Tobita Nobuo, but one day later an apology saying that this was false. Tobita Nobuo was announced as cast one day after that. The apology mentions "a confirmation mistake on behalf of [his] agency" as the reason why he can no longer participate.

A mobile game on Gree has also been released, but unfortunately I have no further info on that.

It is almost new year :D I don't know whether anyone has anything special planned, but have an awesome night, watch out around fireworks, but above all enjoy!!!


Tap Trap Love
The official site for Tap Trap Love is now officially open, which means lots of new info. This is a quick translation but the story is as follows:


The year 20XX - Just after the end of World War III.

The Capital of Japan - Tokyo - is overflowing with people and in no longer the place it used to be.
The now multinational centre “City”, called “B-Valley” as the last remains of it’s former nickname, is transforming into a lawless district where the two largest groupt, the SS and the Horde are fighting for dominance.

The only thing that excites the young people in B-Valley is dance. Streetdance, jazz, classical…the district is overflowing with all kinds of dance. What they long for is dancing at the ‘Atomic Theatre’ at the other side of the wall*.

The Heroine who has lost her memories is one of those people.

While undergoing bitter-sweet training lessons with the members of the dance team, she aims for a new stage. To find her past, as well as a new self.

This is certainly, different from what I expected. I expected sweet romance with a dance theme, instead they give us post-war (and probably post apocalyptic) amnesia, with a dance theme. Also, am I the only one thinking that they could have been a bit more subtle with the references?

But the story is not the only thing we get more info on, there is now more info on the characters as well:

From left to right:

Cap (CV: Kamiya Hiroshi): Member of the dance team Euphoria. Gentle and elegant, but his mindset is the most hard-boiled in the entire team.

Dr. Ginger (CV: Itou Kentarou): A doctor in the CITY district. He mainly performs illegal operations, for which he demands a large sum of money, but at hart he is a gentle person.

Joy (CV: Fujiwara Yuuki): The moodmaker of the team, and a DJ at a club called "Justice".

Nico: The heroine. Lost her memories and suffers from aphonia, and communicates through her cellphone. She has a part time job at a hotdog stand. (Oh sue me but I totally thought this would be a shota character, instead it is actually the heroine xD)

Lee (CV: Shimozaki Nobunaga): The heroine her friend, and he also works part-time at the same hotdog stand. He is aiming to become an artist and dreams of drawing his paintings on the wall.

Jackie (CV: Maeno Tomoaki): The leader of Euphoria. Because his hair covers his eyes it is hard to understand his expressions. He doesn't talk much but he is very virtuous.

Leo (CV: Nakai Kazuya): A member of Euphoria, he is a bit of a troublemaker who picks fights easily. He can't hide his emotions, and it takes a while before he can get along with people, but once he trusts you he does so forever.

I am now officially at a complete loss as to what kind of work this is.

Aroma na Kareshi vol.1: Lavender

Aroma na Kareshi is a boyfriend who's personality is based of a certain scent, in this case lavender. The character, Fujimori Yuuichi, is described as 'sweet and healing/caring' (healing is the literal word, but it sounds a bit odd in English). The CD comes with a lavender scented card.

You are in your 3rd year of high school, which means cramming for entrance exams in Japan, and to help you with this your parents have hired a tutor for you. Fujimori Yuuichi (CV: Nojima Kenji) is a 2nd year student at the university you hope to go to.

You first meet near your house, while Fujimori is lost trying to find the right address (finding a specific address can be rather hard in Japan due to a weird numbering system). As he teaches you the two of you gradually become more friendly, and he even takes you to visit the campus to motivate you (and gives you a Christmas present! awww).

What I like about this CD is that there is no constant hinting. As it turns out, Fujimori even has a girlfriend in the beginning (though they break up just before Christmas) and you apparently liked someone else to start with as well. There are some hints, but there is no overload of sweet lines or obvious 'I like you but I'm too shy to say it' moments. And -this might sound a bit weird but- I think that suits the fragrance well, as lavender isn't a very romantic scent.

Which brings us to the fragrance-personality thing. Lavender is a light, somewhat sweet and relaxing scent. And I think they've managed to match that quite good actually. Fujimori has a cheerful, caring personality, and I can imagine he is easy to relax (and be yourself) around so as far as that goes I think it is pretty well matched. The story itself was light and sweet too, so I'd say it matches.

There are just a few points that felt odd about this CD. The first is that the conversation didn't seem really natural at times. Especially when Fujimore 'answers' to something you are saying. Of course you can hear only one side of the conversation, so I imagine it must be hard to write but it was still a little odd at times. The second is, where on earth are your parents? Yes I know, they would only be a hindrance, but you never even mention them (except in the end, when Fujimori comments on them being absent xD). And finally, I really miss my cast comment track (T-T)


Conclusion:
The occasional odd conversation moment aside, this is a sweet CD that isn't full of hinting for a change. It's pretty short, only 25min, but doesn't feel that short at all. If you're going to listen to it I really recommend burning some lavender oil or placing something lavender scented (like the scent card included with the CD) nearby, it adds just a little extra to the experience.

Well, it seems like I am in my usual begin-of-the-month-slow-posting-syndrome. That, and classes have started again so I need a little while to adjust to my new living schedule (it has been months since I've been to any classes)

But now, on to the news:


Lip Aura
seems like an interesting project. According to the official site the project will somehow blend a drama CD story stocked with high profile voice actors, with songs performed by expressive artists. The description made me assume that it would be one CD, yet the official page shows two different releases that are somehow intertwined.


Aroma na Kareshi
a boyfriend based on the effects of a certain aroma, that is the theme of this new series. Our first boyfriend is called Fujimori Yuichi (CV: Nojima Kenji) and is based on the aroma of lavender. Exactly how the sweet natured, helpful, and good-at-presentations Yuichi is based on the scent of lavender I'm not sure, but I am curious to find out. 2011.10.21 is the day we'll be able to discover exactly what kind of person he is.
