Weekly News Post

Well, bi-weekly in this case because I was on a holiday :3

Dousei Kareshi
Black Butterfly is starting a new series: Dousei Kareshi (dousei means "living together"). The series is all about living together with your boyfriend, but not just the sweet parts. As the intro page states: "Living together with someone, that is fun. hard. getting mad. fighting.hunting one another. and being happy. But even then, always wanting to be 'together'" The official site is just a teaser page at the moment, but I like the character designs and I'm curious how the series will turn out.

EDIT: Turns out Dousei Kareshi will be an otome game series, not a CD series! Dousei Kareshi will release in three games: Butterfly Lip, Butterfly Gloss, and Butterfly Rouge. Each game will feature a different character. As this is about living together with your boyfriend you already start out while dating, so I suppose there will be at least one bad ending (where you split up. Or die) and multiple good endings. The games will use the dummy head mic (can't have anything BB without it xD) and will be released on PC, and will be priced around 3000yen each.

Diabolik Lovers Versus
If you thought the nose bleeding and fainting would stop now that Shuu his CD has been released you are mistaken. Rejet has just announced three new Dialover CD's: Diabolik Lovers Versus.

Each CD has two characters trying to win your love blood. On 2012.08.29 it will be Ayato (CV: Midorikawa Hikaru) VS Shuu (CV: Toriumi Kousuke). On 2012.09.26 Raito (CV: Hirakawa Daisuke) VS Subaru (CV: Kondo Takashi). And on 2012.10.24 Kanato (CV: Kaji Yuuki) VS Reiji (CV: Konishi Katsuyuki). Somebody please mark that last one as the day of my death, I don't think I'll survive listening to it...

Tenshi x Akuma
I heard about this series some time ago, and then it just sort of dropped of my radar... Needless to say, with vol.1 being released this month it is back on again. The world in Tenshi x Akuma is split up in 3 realms; the realm of angels, the realm of demons, and the human realm. Both the angels and demons all work in large companies offering the human various services. The angels all work in a company called "Heavenly Living Space" while the demons work for a company called "Living Hell.

On the side of the angels we have Metatron (CV: Miura Hiroaki), Michael (CV: Toriumi Kousuke), Gabriel (CV: Morikawa Toshiyuki), Uriel, Rafael, Sandalphon, and Azrael. On the side of the demons we have Satan (CV: Yasumoto Hiroki), Lucifer (CV: Nakai Kazuya), Belial (CV: Sakurai Takahiro), Azazel (CV: Kaji Yuuki), Belfegor (CV: Minagawa Junko), Beelzebub (CV: Okiayu Ryoutarou), and Mammon (CV: Fujiwara Keiji). While all of the demons their seiyuu are announced, a few of the angels still have ??? marks.

You can look up all of the angels and demons on wiki if you like, but it looks like they took a lot of artistic licence with creating the characters. Azreal (the angels of death) is a hikkikomori for example. Beelzebub is described as loving food (by the looks of it, especially sweets),  and Sandalphon is an otaku. Some of them also have some very... colourful designs.

Three CD's are planned for release. Vol.1 on 20120.06.25, Vol.2 on 2012.07.25, and Vol.3 somewhere in August 2012. There are two interesting things about the three CD's: the first is that the four angels that don't have their seiyuu announced at the moment are not mentioned as main cast in any of these three CD's. Instead al three of them do mention an "and others" among the cast. The second is that all three CD's have a different scenario writer, one of them being one of the writers that worked on Corpse Party (a horror game well know for it's colourful descriptions during the many many horrible death scenes). This looks like it is going to be a more comical series though.

Double Score
Two preview tracks for Suo (CV: Tachibana Shinnosuke) have been uploaded on his CD page. The first one one where he is talking with the company director Souichirou (CV: Nakata Jouji) is quite hilarious. The second one is a bit  too sweet for my taste, but Suo his internal monologue is quite funny.

Meanwhile the scenario's for several more CD's are also up. In Subaru (CV: Hino Satoshi) his CD he has some problems saying what he really feels. Subaru is a software programmer and has his own company, and you snuck into his manshion because you wanted help in some way or another, but Subaru just tells you that he finds it hard to concentrate with you there. Yousuke (CV: Toriumi Kousuke) is the second character in his CD.

Lily of the Valley, Ninomiya Souichirou (CV: Nakata Jouji) his CD has him going on a date with the heroine. While waiting for her he runs into Sakita Takuto (CV: Fujiwara Keiji), who is impressed that Souichirou is able to find the time to go on a date. During the date Souichirou and the heroine go shopping for a dress for her to wear to an important party that night. Souichirou is 46, making him 29 years older than the heroine (dear lord, that is just....). Luckily he himself seems to feel slightly uneasy about is as well.

In Takuto his CD 'Rose' on the other hand, Rio (CV: Ookawa Tohru) comes to visit his cafe, and teases him about his new girlfriend. Takuto his cafe is on the first floor of the mansion where the heroine lives, which is probably how you met. In his introduction voice he says that it is a cafe during the day and a bar at night, so exactly how you are supposed to have a date "after he has finished his work" is a mystery to me. Unless someone else closes the shop maybe.

Lotus is the CD for Sano Fumiya (CV: Kusao Takeshi), in which the heroine cancels her date with him, and Fumiya becomes severely annoyed. To distract himself he goes to help Subaru with his work (exactly why the school doctor can also program software remains unexplained as of yet). Subaru teases him whether they split up or something, which causes Fumiya to endlessly talk about what he likes about her.

Momo & Grapes
MomoGre is releasing drama CD later this month: Les Miserables. Except for the release date of 2012.06.28 and two of the seiyuu, Onosaka Mayasa as Jean Valjean and Koyasu Takehito as Javert, not much is known. I'm secretly hoping that this will be the next entry in their Men's Only series.

Fortissimo never seems to let me down. Every time I think there might be a new one, they indeed announce a new Honeymoon CD. Vol.7 will get you married to Shindou Aoi (CV: Terashima Takuma), who is a pâtissier. Your Honeymoon will take you to the Netherlands and Belgium. Aoi is very honest and innocent, and besides sweet things he also loves fashion a lot.

You're going to Belgium for the sweets -wafels and chocolate, obviously-  and the Netherlands for the flowers. We're both too small to spend an entire honeymoon, ahahahaha. Sorry, I live in the Netherlands so I'm kind of excited to see what the CD will be like, and what kind of stuff they will mention.

  1. OMG I can´t wait for Dousei Kareshi to come out... I´ve been snifting around it too, but didn´t found out when it will release... Do you know it?
Of cause most of the Cd on your list is very tempting to listen to!
    Can´t wait for them...
Thank you for your hard work... =)

    1. Actually, after some more digging around it seems like this will be an otome game series instead of a drama CD series!! Still no release dat info for you though www

I've updated the news post on the rest of the details (^-^)

  2. Lol @ Honeymoon cd. Maybe u should make a list of famous spots in Netherlands and see if u guess them correctly? I'm sure they're gonna visit the windmills somehow^^

    1. Hmmm. de Keukenhof, Kinderdijk, Cheese Market, Amsterdam? Those would be my guesses, especially the first two. I've seen advertising for the first one on random places in Japan, so that one is famous for sure.

But really I don't want to create any expectations and just see what happens (>w<)

  3. ...Double Score's Lotus CD is going to drive me up the wall. XD Not easy to stay calm when your favorite voice actor's talking.
