Weekly News Post

Momo&Grapes
MomoGre is releasing another drama CD adaption of a famous book, this time they are doing the Phantom of the Opera. オペラ座の怪人～愛と哀しみの鎮魂歌～ (opera no kaijin ~ai to kanashimi no requiem~, The Phantom of the Opera ~A Requiem of Love and Sadness~) is planned for a 2013.05.21release.

The phantom will be voiced by Hirata Hiroaki, Christine by Noto mamiko, Raoul by Hatano Wataru, and the Persian ('Daroga') by Tanaka Atsuko. I'm sure others will be surprised that Daroga is being voiced by a woman (while he is very much male in the original story), but Tanaka Atsuko has a deep voice and has voiced male characters before, so I assume that they haven't suddenly changed his gender and that it will all work out in some way (MomoGre has my complete trust when it comes to adaptions like these).

Ojisama VS Wakazou
Staying with Momogre for a moment, a second CD in their Ojisama VS Wakazou series was announced a while ago. The idea of this series is that it puts veteran seiyuu against younger seiyuu (I'm saying younger, because the difference is not as extreme as the title implies). This second CD has Horiuchi kenyuu VS Sakurai Takahiro.

Storywise The heroine (meaning the listener) is just a normal OL. After breaking up with your boyfriend a couple of years ago you are taking a break from romance as a whole. And then one day Ishinose Minato(?), one of your co-workers, asks you out. In order to reject him you make a plan to draw the attention of his older brother Yuusei and father-and-company-president Yasuaki(?), but the two of them end up falling in love with you for real.

This description leaves me puzzled as there seem to be 3 people involved, and Momogre has given no details on who is voiced by who, although I think it is safe to assume that Yasuaki will be voiced by Horiuchi Kenyuu. The CD is planned for a 2013.04.25 release (in Momogre their own shop, that probably means that it will be available in other places a little later).

Weekly News Post

Lots of previews this week!

Anata wo Misshitsu de Torishirabe CD
A preview for the first CD has been uploaded at the official blog. Sounds like this is going to be quite the interrogation.  The CD will be out later this month on the 26th.

10nen Hatsukoi

A preview for the 10nen Hatsukoi Christmas Carol CD is up on youtube. It seems like the start of the story. Sounds like it is going to be a fun story and like I should finally listen to the actual series. Also, those final messages *kyaaaa*.

Ikitsukai
A preview for the first Ikitsukai has been uploaded on animate TV. For your information, this is a scene in the sauna. But the overload of heavy breathing and BL-interpretable lines would make you think it is something else (which is exactly their intent, of course). I was nearly dying of giggles and laughter while listening to this. The fact that it is recorded with the dummy head mic makes it all the more deadly.

Weekly News Post (part 1)

Once again, this news post is late because I was in London for the weekend. The main reason was to see the Final Fantasy Anniversary Concert, which was amazing! But I've also seen lots of the pretty architecture all over town, and went to see Top Hat on Saturday as well (I have a weakness for old movies and musicals). But on to the news, yes.

Oujisama (warai)

The cover for the third CD has been revealed on the official site. They will start releasing previews of the scenario somewhere later this month as well.

Otoko no Ko
The Otoko no Ko series is getting a manga adaption. It will be published at the Comic Zero Sum Online  site starting 2012.12.10 and will be illustrated bu Nerisuke. Hopefully the comic will raise some more popularity so that we will get another drama CD as well (^-^)

Weekly News Post

Oujisama (warai)
There are two preview tracks up for the upcoming Date CD Vol.1. The contents are largely the same as the scenarios that were revealed on the official site before. Actually hearing them is much better than just reading them though. Hearing Cinderella, Snow White, and Rapunzel together again just makes me really happy. Two more preview tracks will be added on 2012.10.16 and 2012.10.18.

Kindan Kyuuketsuki
The preview for Kindan Kyuuketsuki Vol.4 is up. Friedrich (CV: Tachibana Shinnosuke) basically just walks up to you and declares that he owns you before dragging you off xD. He seems to like teasing you a lot.

Weekly News Post *update*

The news post is only half done, and there is at least one other project that I really really really want to write something about, but life is getting in the way. I'll update this post later this evening or sunday morning.

Added the news about 'Hikari'.

Bokutachi Otoko no Ko
No news on new release yet, but the official site has been renewed and has a completely new look. And if they are going to the trouble of renewing the site, I am guessing there will be a new release sometime soon.

Double Score

Blue Moon will be at the Animate Girls Festival 2012 selling Double Score and Unending Bloody Call goods. If you spend over 3000yen on buying goods you get the Double Score ~Forest?~ CD, which is a situation CD featuring the sub-character Mori Kengo (CV: Kimura Ryouhei). The entire CD is recorded with the dummy head mic, and has a story about Kengo and the heroine (his girlfriend, meaning you) in his room.

10nen Hatsukoi
The official site hasn't been updated yet, but according to 2chan 10nen Hatsukoi vol.2 is planned for a 2012.11.30 release. This time the characters will be Niida Kouhei (CV: Takahiro) and Iwakiri Satoshi (???, CV: Namikawa Daisuke).

Weekly News Post

I am slowly getting better at this. The day I will actually make my own deadline is near. Hopefully.

Honeymoon

We all it knew this would come sooner or later; the next Honeymoon CD has been announced. This time Okumura Chiharu (CV: Ishida Akira) will take you to Turkey. Chiharu is a history teacher, so you will be visiting a few ruins in Turkey among other things. Chiharu is described as having a sexy aura, but it is hard to guess what he is thinking.

Sasayaki Micchaku

The series continues, this time with a fortune teller. Sawatane Tsukumo (CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko) is an apprentice fortune teller, and that is about everything that the official site tells us about him. Judging from his character image he looks like a cheerful innocent type, but who knows. His design is very different from the first three characters, who all had more of an adult atmosphere. The CD is planned for a 2012.11.14 release.

News (Part 4)

I thought that I could finish all the news in the last post, obviously not. With this I think we're completely up to date again though. Enjoy the last part of the news, I'm sure that there are several interesting items for everyone!

RekiSing

I somehow keep forgetting that this projects exists. Either way, In RekiSing various famous historical characters end up in our time, and for some reason end up working as idols. It is probably best not to ask to many questions. The two that just made a time-slip to the present are Takechi Hanpeita (CV: Hatano Wataru) and Okada Izou (CV: Shimono Hiro). For some reason Sakamoto Ryouma (CV: Ono Daisuke) was already walking around in the present, and he is working as a music producer. He is being supported by his manager Iwasaki Toratarou (CV: Ishida Akira) who is a fan of Ryouma since he was working as an idol himself.

The first CD will go on sale on 2012.09.05 (although it is on pre-sale in a few shops starting yesterday)

Weekly News Post

Sort of weekly at the moment anyway. I should be doing all sorts of other stuff right now, but instead I am writing a news post... lalala.

Also, in preparation for my Japan trip I've re-opened my personal blog (although everything from before is gone). I have no idea how regular the updates will be though. Also, I might post most of the fangirling here or on tumblr. Because my parents don't really need to know all my fangirl moments xD

Kindan Kyuuketsuki

the official site finally updated with more info on the next release: Kindan Kyuuketsuki ~Aobara no Kishi~ ("knight of the blue rose"). Several shops and magazines already listed the CD, but the official site was eerily silent. We now have some visuals with the knowledge that Yasumoto Hiroki will be voicing Rudolf von Weiseheldenburg, the next vampire. You apparently meet him on the battlefield... from where he kidnaps you. But other than that there is little info. Of course we all know what to expect by now. The CD is planned for a 2012.08.15 release.

Meanwhile, Animate already lists another entry to the series: Kindan Kyuuketsuki ~Kibara no Toganin~ ("criminal of the yellow rose") for a 2012.10.17 release. This time it will be Tachibana Shinnosuke who voices a vampire who's name I am guessing to be Friedrich.
